Ended up giving the neat NOS French pea coat to my son. Had too many coats and didn’t need it in the end. Wifey gave me the side-eye “more stuff for the kid?” I said “pay it forward.”

The other day, my wife sighed "great, another one with expensive taste" when our 4 year old exclaimed that he wanted shoes like dad when he grew up.

Nice looking coat, nice gift. Did you keep something that fills ,that role in your wardrobe? (I’m still hanging on to my USN issued peacoat)

I have the Billy Reid Bond Pea Coat and a LBM 1911 overcoat (very close to a pea coat I think) I got from NMWA years ago. Found this pic on the NMWA thread:

A friend of mine and I broke out our Gibson guitars and Marshall amplifiers this weekend. We jammed out to a good variety of music ranging from Prince, CCR, Bad Company, the B-52s, and White Zombie for some heavy stuff. It was awesome to play with another person again.

The band I play drums with did some recording at a studio near the Hill called Ivakota a few weeks back. Amazing space with great equipment. Owner really knows what he's doing. Highly recommended if any musicians on the thread are looking for a studio.

How was the meal, by the way? Been wanting to try Dabney for a while.
Food was excellent ?? Probably one of the best places I’ve eaten in DC.
And re: jeans, I very rarely wear any jeans unless they’re black. I don’t even own blue jeans tbh. I’ll wear white/cream too but I’m in need of a new pair since my current ones don’t fit that well. This probably all stems from never owning a truly well-fitting pair of any color

Any thoughts on other places to check out some off the rack CM options in greater DC area? Have already looked at Mashburn and Paul Stuart in DC but not found what I’m looking for. Wondered if there was anything at Tysons or anywhere like that?

looking for ties and trousers/chinos specifically
