If you're looking for back issues, I have four-five years worth, 2016-2020.
Wow. Worth keeping those? I toss my free copy of GQ in a recycling bin whenever I see it in my mailbox. That magazine is def a garbage.

I was just going to flip through it to see if I would want to subscribe for 1 or 2 year subscription. I heard about this magazine here and then someone mentioned it as their favorite magazine to read and learn. Hence the interest.

I assume you are active subscriber :)

Not anymore. I subscribed from 2016 to 2020 (and prior to that bought individual copies), then let it run out. A few months before my daughter was born, I had to prioritize my free reading, and The Rake got pushed to the bottom - I think the last issue I read was from 2019. Not a big loss for me, as honestly I find reading Styleforum and a few blogs much more enjoyable than The Rake.

Did anyone mix and match their 2 vaccine doses between moderna and Pfizer? I’m thinking about getting a second dose from Pfizer to combine with my initial JNJ with the news about the delta variant.

heard in the Economist that vaccine cocktails do provide higher levels of immunity, but its all early data, as one might have guessed

I was thinking that we should start a thread exclusively for the DC meetup and maybe it will garner some more attention. So far, there have been 8 responses and I wondered if a dedicated thread for the meetup would cast a wider net.

Thoughts?

Man, I just radically edited my thread list and don't want to add anymore. Was subscribed to way too many. I think if you just pick a date folks who are available will show up. If we ask for too much input we will just go around in circles.

Canada has approved mixing Pfizer and Moderna - they are both mRNA vaccines. JnJ is a different type of vaccine, so I don't think any country has authorized mixing it with one of the others. Also, JnJ is a single dose vaccine. Although they are in the process of studying whether a second dose significantly improves effectiveness.

Yeah saw an interview from the Mayo Clinic regarding this earlier this morning. Delta variant is taking off. Might hop over to cvs to get that Pfizer as a booster.

Anyone else puts their gloves in the front pocket of the coat like pictured here?

wonder how much damage would it do the coat pocket to permanently have it to stick out

looks cool though... like pocket square for a coat

I think that worked once for the 1920s Italian race car driver/biplane pilot who was the first person photographed doing it. (I was unable to find the photo but I'm sure it was in The Rake at some point!)

Seems like quite a contrivance. Somewhat akin to wearing an overcoat like a cape.

According to this tweet, the truck had its bed raised and smashed into the bridge.
