Thank you for the advice, everyone. If it's not too late, I'm going to check with Will and see if I can change it to straight flap pockets. But now the question--do I add the ticket pocket? Attached is the fabric. The ticket pocket is a characteristic English style feature, right?

Go with single flap pockets so you can tuck the flaps in to give the suit a different look.

Does anybody actually use their front suit pockets? I always thought they were supposed to be decorative.

I never use them on a suit. Sometimes I stuff gloves in them on a sport coat.

I'm not sure I'll miss Whitlow's like some of my favorite spots in DC.
I liked it as a neighborhood dive bar/restaurant. Weirdly, I noticed the Fri-Sat night babes at Whitlow’s were the marrying kind whereas the same at Don Tito’s were the hotter, yet to-be-avoided kind. Does that make sense?

To the previous conversation (too many posts to quote) and just my opinion.

Flap pockets (with ticket pocket if you insist) more versatile than hacking.

Also congrats on the commission. Will is great and will make you a great suit.

I use them usually just Car key fob.
my key fits nicely in the small inner pocket that some suits and sport coats have.

Everything else (wallet, phone, glasses) goes in inner chest pockets. Trouser pockets, on the other hand, are almost never used.

I use my jacket's right hip pocket to keep my phone. I have one suit with a ticket pocket and my iPhone fits perfectly inside of it. I don't like having my phone in my pants pockets.

I rip mine open so if I need to I can use them. Plus I remember reading somewhere that they must be opened to be functional and leaving them sawn makes it looks like if you to leave that annoying tag on your sleeve

Question about it. I see lot of folks using breast pocket of their coats to keep gloves... since gloves are rather bulky, do you notice that your pockets now are sort of permanently open?

I would think it would make your suit to be pulled to your right... do you balance it out in some way?

Who was it that was looking for a Pea Coat in large a while back? I have one of these and wear the heck out of it in cooler weather. Fits a bit close so I sized up to XL.

$56? I wonder how bad it is to have this massive price drop

That's just the current bid. It will increase as the auction draws to a close.
