Just wanted to pop in again and thank everyone for the recommendations and pointers.

I’m not sure if this place was discussed here but we had a really nice lunch today on the waterfront at a place we came across after our long walk through Georgetown, called Fiola Mare. Pretty upscale joint, outstanding service (2 Michelin star service IMO), lovely setting outside with views on the ducks and geese and rowers (and choppers). Food was really excellent throughout (desserts too) and I thought was pretty good value ($38 lunch app, entree and dessert) - at least for a NYer lol...

Fiola and Fiola Mare are both excellent. I think they were the first upscale organic restaurants in DC.

Great choice! I enjoy it more than the original Fiola, which is, frankly, just too fancy. You’ve inspired me to check it out for lunch.

Yes, a very nice place. I usually stop at Nick's which is a bit further down the waterfront for a crab cake and beer after a long bike ride. Too grungy to sit outside at Fiola Mare in sweaty cycling clothes!

Happy to share that I've commissioned my first bespoke suit ever with Will Field at Field English Custom Tailors. The experience has been excellent. I picked out a beautiful tropical weight charcoal house fabric in a fine a pin head pattern. I selected notch lapels (3.6 in. wide) and hacking pockets. The trousers are plain fronts with side tab adjusters. I'm debating whether to add a ticket pocket as well--open to any suggestions from you guys? I will add pictures at my next fitting.

Congratulations on the bespoke suit. I hope you're in good shape. Will's house style is severe waist suppression.

Loved Fiola DC, took my family there for my father's retirement dinner in 2019. Also really like their pasta house, Sfogina (their gnocchi is a must have).
If you go to Fiola Mare, you must try their short rib agnolotti. It’s incredible
