I had to consign a pair of Anglo-Italian pants as they fit way too slim for me. Thanks for the heads-up on Natalino!

If you are like me and have larger legs, I find that sizing up and then getting the waist taken in is normally the way to go.

I tried that with Rota and found the quad area tight. I don't like the european RTW brands because they dont fit well if you're into lifting heavy ass weight.

Yeah. One of the Rota models sold by Michael Jondral is a bit wider in the leg than most of Rota's stuff. So I tried sizing up, hoping that would work. They fit and I wear them, but they are tight in the thigh.

I fit pretty well into Rota across the board. I cycle and run but don't do specific leg exercises.

Mitchells used to dump excess stock at the Filene's Basement on Connecticut Avenue (RIP :() all the time. I wonder where it goes now.

How do they get away with these prices?
I've often wondered this of Needless Markup. I suspect that these kinds of stores have a small customer base that thinks nothing of dropping six figures in one visit.

I visited their Wilkes store in San Francisco and their Mario's in Seattle last year. Salesman in San Fran was name dropping big time. Pelosi, Kamala, Willie (Brown) etc. It's 1%er stuff like Bergdorf Goodman and such. Good place to sale shop dress shirts for me.

I was once in Leffot in Chicago (RIP) and the guy their said he had a customer order like 20 pairs of mto Corthay shoes in the wrong size. He was worried the guy wouldn't like the shoes, but the guy was completely fine with them.

I mean, this has got to be money laundering right? He needed to get rid of some cash and so ordered in the wrong size and presumably under a false name so it couldn't be connected back to him?

Maybe I don't understand what money laundering is, but how can this be money laundering? Isn't money laundering when you make up some way that you earned money?

If I remember right, the guy was (or at least claimed to be) a surgeon who suddenly began to like shoes, especially Corthay. They were like a size too big I think, so maybe not completely unwearable.
