I met my now-wife when she started working at my firm, and before we got together I openly (although probably drunkenly) conveyed to her support for the "don't **** where you eat" policy. To this day, she won't let me forget it.

So, I say don't **** where you eat. But on the off chance you end up in a long-term relationship with her, do NOT actually tell her that.

I witnessed many divorces when I first started working because coworkers were sleeping with each other.

If you didn't say that she'd probably give you **** for not saying it and thus proving you make a habit of dating co-workers.

Nothing like a rainy day for CM. Light trench coat, Zegna suit, Chelsea boots. Wish it were cooler, though. Still got too warm walking to Metro again.

Are you voluntarily going outside today or do you have to go to the office? I had a morning reservation for the National Museum of the American Indian, but I'm going to pass.

My section went back to 100% manning a few weeks ago. Been either cycling in or riding mostly empty Metro since then. Feels good to be in CM again even if Covid is raging. Mask discipline is pretty good downtown at least.

Have also been stocking up on nice casual stuff at NMWA in support of casual Friday. Been using seriously baggy Blue Blue Japan pants around the house. Taking over from Zegna linen easy pants I wore all summer.

Speaking of going back to work, I found this to be seriously informative. Saw on Covid thread here which is the only CE thread I’m on here.

Very useful for those of us back in the office!

This has my favorite Smithsonian cafeteria.
It is pretty much everyone's favorite, which is why seating was so difficult when people were still going to the office. The National Museum of African-American History and Culture has soul food that is better than I expected and plenty of seating, but is inconveniently located off the Mall.

I still haven’t been there. I thought it would open normally without requiring tickets but it never did and then Covid hit. Is it back open now?
