I thought this was the DC area thread ?‍♂️
I think the kid said he was a Georgetown law student and was back in Chicago for summer. Suits he posted were MTM here in DC. ?

Bored today. This is from the Brimble & Clark website. Maybe the weird button stance is some sort of house style? Pass.

Apologies for moving off the topic of this thread--started as a review of Brimble & Clark (D.C. MTM shop). And thank you for all the advice. I think I'll start with checking out the Zegna boutique in Tyson's. I'll make use of the Brimble Clark suit pants as bus casual trousers. Are the suit jackets donate-to-charity bad or don't wear when you want to look your best bad?

No idea really. Don’t take Styleforum advice too closely to heart. All I did was look at some snapshots. Why not wear them around and see what you think? Compare to what other guys are wearing, ask your peers, mentors, etc.

And the real world isn't full of Harvey Specters. Even in a NYC law firm, people are still probably in poorly made, cheap suits.

Do you have any pics wearing the suit jackets?

Even if the jackets aren't of the best construction, if it fits you well then its worth keeping. Perhaps save it for an event where you think you might get dirty or have drinks spilled on it.

TBH, the nit-picking you'll see on Styleforum is stuff no normal person would ever in a million years notice. What people will notice is how the suit fits on you (and even then, most people are way more forgiving than we are). You could post photos of you wearing the suit in the Tailor's Thread and Despos regularly gives fit comments and alterations suggestions on there.

Don’t waste your money chasing the ultimate fit. Focus on color and fabric combinations of the suit, shirt, tie, and pocket square.

I've been hearing reports that smoke from the West coast has wafted our way and is causing hazy conditions in our area. Has anyone else noticed this? I haven't, but I have poor eyesight and am generally unperceptive.

Yes. I saw it Monday as you could look right at the sun at 6:00PM without blinking. Noticed it standing outside our Vet as cat was getting his oil changed and paws rotated.
