Man, everything, everywhere is on sale. Extra 25% off at Mitchells-Richards-Wilkes Bashford. Excellent chance to stock up on Zegna and Canali dress and casual shirts among other deals.

All I did was grab a Zegna light pink linen dress shirt. I exercised great discretion. :bigstar: Anyway, I just post links to stuff I think folks will enjoy. After that linen NMWA suit I'm set on big purchaes for a while!

lol What happens when Greg delivers the fall collection for Sartoria Carrara?

Even though I still have holes in my wardrobe I want to fill I'm not sure I want to keep spending the money. I've done well in not purchasing anything for the year but will have to pay the balance on my purple jacket next month.

I'm thinking F/W will be a bellwhether for me. Have to see how casual work stays next year. The linen suit was on my want-list for quite a while but was still an impulse buy. Figure I'll wear it once a week during summer. I'll admit I've bought a lot of stuff out of boredom, though.

Everything sucks right now and I can't travel anywhere so I'm making myself feel better by buying stuff. Kiton suit, Phineas Cole trousers, Alden cordovan tassels, a few nice ties, Ezra Paul hopsack jacket on the way. Is it "necessary"? Is it "necessary" for me to drink my own urine? No, but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste.

I just did a grudge-cull of my closet and sent a bunch of stuff to LuxeSwap. Stuff I refused to get rid of earlier but hadn't worn in a while mostly. Phineas Cole F/W suit (awesome Navy birdseye), dress pants from Barneys, Anglo-Italian, and Zanella. Couldn't bring myself to cull the ties again even though they are not getting much use.

I sold off a pair of Meermin oxfords, which paid for almost 2 ties. The rest has been paid for by money I would have otherwise spent on Metro fare and fancy cocktails.

I got a check from LuxeSwap on Friday, deposited it, and then wrote a check in basically the same amount to DC for the speed camera ticket I got on E Street in that damn underpass close to the State Department. I got the ticket driving to Geoffrey Lewis to get some clothes tailored.

I should have just given Mayor Bowser the Oxxford sport coat and cut out the middle man. :brick:

I thought about buying stuff but then I realized we may be stuck inside until the summer of 2021. No point in purchasing something I can't wear.

The other night my wife and I got drunk at home, put on fancy clothes, and slow danced to Boys II Men like it was 8th grade. Use your imagination!

I'm still in the office every other week so actually getting some use out of Ring Jacket sport coat so far. I know what you mean, though. Ugh.

Everybody knows that clothes are not for wearing. They are for caressing lovingly while they hang in your closet and for occasionally removing from said closet to take pictures for your e-buddies on StyleForum.
