Does the Armoury ever do trunk shows in DC? I know NYC isn't far but it's still a pain.
Wifey gets her second Pfizer shot Monday. NYC is first on our places to visit once some form of normalcy returns!

I just received my second shot, and need to get all my lifts in before the “side effects” take place.

I use to think that as well but we get trunk shows from some of the major Saville Row houses.
Yeah, Steed at least. I think I'm maxed out on tailoring. Maybe another lightweight summer sport coat for work/play but I have almost every niche filled. Of course, every time I say that.....

I got my second shot around 11:00AM and felt run down by dinner time, flu symptoms the next day. Was fine by the following morning.

How do we get some of those fancy Italian tailors to travel to DC?

Not sure how to make this happen.

The team at No Man Walks Alone brought Sartoria Formosa here a couple times, then they stopped, it seemed as if the number of customers did not make it worth their while....

They have not done a trunk show in DC (having a tailor come with them to visit, such as RJ or Tailor Caid) but they have done a couple multi day "Armoury Field trips" where they rent a place in town for the weekend, bring some OTR stock and make MTM available. I hope they will be able to make this happen again in the future.

Steed, Steven Hitchcock, Henry Poole, Maurice Sedwell, Davies and Son, Whitcomb & Shaftesbury, Dege amd Skinner, etc. They all come and have a foot print.

I need one more business suit and have my eye on knocking out some odd jackets for the summer and one blue blazer for the fall/winter.

My second dose of Pfizer is next week so I'll report back afterward.
My son just got his first Moderna shot today. He totally ruined my plan for "Team Pfizer" family t-shirts!

Maybe the market is over saturated with tailors. I was able to buy one jacket from Formosa before they stopped traveling to DC. The quality and price point are now worth the expense of traveling to NYC to get my stuff made, but would prefer to stay local. Its a pain ********** taking leave in the middle of the week for a fitting. I would have no issues if things were on a Friday. I could take off and enjoy NYC.

I think I will stick to MTO at The Armoury for the Model 3 or with NMWA x Carrara. I'm very curious to see where we go with suits here in DC. Not sure a full return to old ways is going to happen.

That's fair, I mostly wear sport coats to work and for play. I just need to solid work horse suits to rotate between.
