Dangerous question: How do you typically launder you Ikiji polo? I've been thinking of getting one from their online store, but have been putoff by their washing instructions, which seem overly conservative.
I usually dry clean nice knitwear. I have some Smartwool used as active wear and will wash on delicate and dry flat.
Thanks! I'll restrain myself and hold off then. I just can't bring myself to dry clean cotton knitwear.
@CityDweller are you asking about a cotton polo, or a wool piece?Agreed, my spier merino turtlenecks get delicate/flat dry and everything else is just dry cleaned.
("which means, it's DIRTY!!!" - Mitch Hedberg RIP)
Sorry about that. That was unnecessarily confusing. I realized, belatedly, that Smitty was talking about a wool polo. I've (separately) been coveting a cotton polo on Ikiji's website. I should have written that "I can't bring myself to dry clean knitwear" period. I have a couple of cheapish wool and wool blend knits that I machine wash, but otherwise I stick to cotton/cotton blends for that reason.@CityDweller are you asking about a cotton polo, or a wool piece?
Generally, most people here recommend dry clean or hand wash for wool, and cold water wash for cotton.
I have some nicer polos from Ascot Chang, machine wash (cold) hang dry.. very low maintenance.
Wool polo knits are dry clean for me
Thanks! Still a few more things need done, but it's gonna be after Venice at this point. No biggie.@armedferret love a cafe racer inspired bike!
You want to be like Uncle Kirby; shooting promotional videos of an overcoat in Houston while people are in shorts?!?!?My brother in tailoring, the LUXEST.
I should do a youtube video in black tie discussing my seersucker pajama and robe collection, and the estimated amount I paid for all of it.

I'll second Best Fit. She does good work.Late to the conversation, but I go to Best Fit Tailoring in Mt. Pleasant - I believe she was the in-house tailor at Ezra Paul before opening up her storefront: https://bestfittailor.com/
Very glad it's warming up! We went out of town for MLK Day weekend and I shoveled as soon as we came back on Monday evening, but there was some pesky ice on our steps that I couldn't hack away with the edge of the shovel.
