Another visiting tailor? I don’t think I’ve heard of this guy. Who has used him in the past?

I think I’m in for at least a sport coat. Or maybe suit (not both)
I’ll hold out for another NMWA commission I think.

Anyone have pics of something they had made by Partena?

Trying to do “no buy” January….. this is making it very difficult
That ship sailed for me. Now Im trying to be good at least until summer. Although I am very tempted to get the check SC done and over with. I know armoury had that cloth OTR once but it almost the same cost as NMWA. So might as well get it made proper.

Bring PASTENA to DC!

Is website pricing fairly close, 2k euro for a jacket/trou combo?

I might could hop on board for that.....we don't have to fly to Italy for a basted or anything right? ;)

(only thing that kept me from going with Bemer or Mannina for shoes tbh)

Got this from Antonio:

start price for suit is 2200€, jacket 1700€, trouser 480€, the first time i will take a measurements after 2/3 months return for Fitting and after fitting 1 months for delivery

Definitely count me interested as well.

Thread here.

I’ll keep seeing him elsewhere but I sent info to some friends at lunch who were at least tentatively interested.

Is it a Hudson's Bay Company blanket?

Last year I learned about the interesting history of these Canadian (though made in England) blankets and eventually bought one.

Sorry for late reply. It's an Ayers wool blanket. Seems fairly old but in decent shape and very large, almost King Size.

Geeez it is cold yall
Sure is. It will ne nice to get a day above freezing at some point in the future.

Bright side; Plenty of opportunities to wear heavy outerwear though! NMAW Project Raglan, KS Traveler and NR Bumfreezer getting a lot of good use.

Edited to add, plenty of knitwear opportunities too

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
