Also this was not a purchase cleared before being made as it was reasonably cheap on Bezos Globalist Industries™ and upon her arrival after a long day at work we compromised that we'll save it for the guest bathroom in the new house in CO. ;)

Picked up a very large vintage Canadian wool blanket at the Chelsea Flea Market in NYC.

-20 cool points to Parkway Cleaners. They dry cleaned and repaired a few small holes well but it was still musty, like Grandpa’s attic.

+20 cool points to Rave FabriCare. Mailed it off and it came back completely odorless.

They did a bunch of stuff for me but just couldn’t get the blanket right. I miss both my Grandpa’s but don’t want a blanket that smells like an old hound dog slept on it in the tool shed all summer. 😬

You might be surprised what just throwing a wool piece onto the snow and let it sit out there for a few hours plus some sun does.

Febreeze also works. Used it on my wool blankie from Afghanistan round 1. I have a couple mementos from Round 2, but the stale cigarette odor kinda completes the package on those. ;)

Tried all the obvious solutions but it took the pros to get it right.
