Maybe someplace around Silver Spring? Easier for folks further north to get to.

Speaking for myself only, Silver Spring or vicinity does make it easier, but not a show stopper to meet somewhere nice downtown.
Silver Spring, Bethesda, or Potomac should work for me if we do a Friday or Saturday night.

Many years ago we had a holiday, black-tie optional meetup at a hotel bar in downtown DC. IIRC, @hpreston was there.

Are you ambulatory now? Off meds and wifey gave your phone back? :fonz:

I won't be winning the 110m hurdles anytime soon but I'm good for walkies.

Pushed a wheelchair around Milan/Florence/Rome so i spose everything works more or less properly.

Great ride through Rock Creek Park today. Had to break out the cycling jacket on this great Fall day.

Went for a run in the Peirce Mill section of Rock Creek yesterday afternoon and it was lovely - it helped to focus on the beautiful trees instead of my aching calves.

I'd like to ask the thread for some advice: I'm going to get married in the late Spring (late April to mid May, pending availability) and would like to get a "happy suit" for the occasion*, since I don't need a tux and doubt I will in the future. I'm picturing something in Irish linen, either navy or something on the British khaki - tobacco spectrum, that I could use as a fun suit afterward. I realize that this is probably the worst time to look for such a suit, as stores are releasing their fall/winter collections, but do you all have any store recommendations that I should keep in mind when the seasons change? My budget is going be in the $1.5-2K range, and I don't really care if it's OTR or MTM. Something like this Velasca suit is what I have in mind, and I'm sure NMWA, Sid Mashburn and Todd Snyder will have good options in their spring/summer collections. Thanks!

*This plan has the fiancée's approval!

I think that price point you could also do MTM. Ezra Paul is here in DC.

Or MTO/MTM from NMWA. Easily in that price range. And you can choose exactly what fabric you want, without waiting to see what Greg chooses for next spring/summer.
