For those interested, Leffot is hosting an Edward Green trunk show in DC on November 12 and 13.

Not for me, I already have way too many shoes. Plus, I remember the days when EGs were $850/pair. :(

If you know your last and sizing, you can find them on eBay, B&S, grailed, etc. for that price or less. Other retailers also put them on sale (Mr.porter, Cavour, etc.) Especially if they’re pre owned too.

Got a pair of preowned galways in Utah for $500 a few months ago and had a blast restoring the shine on them. Will probably have Aram resole them with Ridgeway soles when the time comes.

I’ve been nearly exclusively wearing hand welted makers at this point but I occasionally make exceptions for specific makers/models like EG when there is a good deal lol.

I’d venture to guess you have more shoes than I do, but I’m not sure. I know at one point I was around 50. I only know that because a girl counted maybe 6-7 years ago. But I’ve sold some of them off that I don’t wear often.

Aren’t you at the point where you have shoes you don’t wear?

One nice thing about gaziano & eg is that all their models can be made in every single one of their lasts. I’m not sure if that’s the case for c&j
No, I try to stay at one-in-one-out as much as possible.

Just counted dress shoes and am at 15 which includes Oxfords, one pair of brogues, loafers, Chelsea and lace up boots, all in leather or suede. I wear them all seasonally and LuxeSwap anything that just sits.

I did cave and jumped on a C&J MTO last week. Harvard 2 (my fav Last 376, fits me perfectly) in dark brown with new flexible leather and sole. I have the Grantham 2 (also Last 376) but the new one looked amazing so I pounced. Anything that feels good on my "worn hard and put away wet" feet is great. Brown loafers are my go-to shoes whenever I can pull them off.

Damn, so youre telling me I have more shoes than you. Okay, you’re more active in purchasing shoes than I am. Aside from my recent bespoke ventures, I’ve bought maybe 5 shoes in the past 5 years.
