I bought one two years ago and I love it. I’m a 40 and I bought a size 4. I can never tell if I wished I sized up or not. It’s pretty slim over tailoring and I wear it over jacket occasionally, but I mostly wear it over knits.
I’m normally a 5 in Pvt White and would go 6 to have it fit over suit.

I’d never bought anything from them before. Iirc the choices were 4 or 6 at the time. maybe 5 would have been a better way to go, and I may have the waist let out slightly this year, but it’s a great coat that I’d highly recommend.

Business casual conference. Sid Mashburn wool-linen blend (Scuderi), Isaia linen shirt and pants, black leather C&J loafers.

Had awesome Mexican for dinner but this place looked perfect for an after-dinner cocktail.

It is, they've got loads of BTAC too. Steaks ain't half bad upstairs....though they're stuck in 1987 with the service staff uniforms lol.

I get it though, it's Texas, and just like ol' uncle sugar's uniformed services, "we've always done it this way" reigns supreme. ;)

get past the aesthetics and the place is seriously fantastic.

Conference beer call is too noisy so I came back here for another Manhattan and a Lobster BLT. I’ve been around these guys all day anyway. Back to Mex food for tomorrow night or maybe here:

Maverick Whiskey is kinda neat too. Decent wares. And a resident spookyghost™ adds to the ambience.

Riverwalk has its gems but also has Hard Rock, Bubba Gump, etc. Much better fare in the vintage haunts I’ve discovered. When in doubt go Art Deco era and it always works.
