these Northern Waters sweaters make me envious, confused and all sorts of stuff. I want one like crazy. But everytime I see one I read (translate in my head to): tagged XL, fits XS.
I'm a mildly fat dude (sometimes really fat dude) who just wants a sweet northern waters lifetime guaranteed sweater. Is that too much to ask? I guess if anyone has one tagged 44-50 or so, let me know. I wear a 42 for real (in sizes that are actually correlated to dimensions, at least).

@rusty18 - The sizing on the Northern Waters sweaters was weird. The 38 that I just sold probably measured like a 36 or 38 when laid flat but there is so much stretch in them that it fit like a snug 40 and if I had worn it a lot more frequently it probably would have easily stretched out to a more comfortable, looser fitting 40.

I still have a Northern Waters cardigan in a size 40 (in the "ecru") that fits me pretty good these days even though I solidly a 42 in most sportcoats now. (I'm probably going to post that one up for sale too though as I just have too much knitwear now and usually end up grabbing my camel color cardigan from eHaberdasher)

    Re: NW sweaters.
Ask seller for measurements and you can purchase with relative confidence . There was only one batch of pre-ordered NW sweaters that were mis-sized and those were then sold at in-store sample sales and on sample sale page on epaulet site. The majority of the sweaters out there are true to their tagged sizes.

Epaulet Hertling Rivet Chinos in a steel blue cotton twill. Lotsa sheen. Pics alternately pick up the "steel" or the "blue" but not the gobmack mix it is in person. Waist 37 (w/ the split waistband another +/- 1" to work with), inseam hemmed to 31".

Individualized ecru/multicheck flannel, artisan collar, size XXL, MoP buttons. I think Mike frocked this "Rapallo Brushed Twill Piebald Plaid". Def a 70s vibe w/ the artisan collar.

Epaulet GATs, burgundy/oxblood, ca. 2015 and rate NIB, size 12.

I'm open to offers on the Rivets and shirt. $73 on the GATs, includes shipping CONUS.

I have a pair of khaki Epaulet X Hertling 'Wilson' trousers. They're a size 42 and NWT. Asking $80 shipped (US).

What was the Wilson fit? (comparison to Walt would help)

The Wilson is a fairly true "straight leg" fit. They're not necessarily full, but are more forgiving than the Walt.

If you're interested, I can provide measurements.

Putting my spare Navy REDA Fresco Doyle size 46 up. This was hanging out on the site and was so taken w/ the one I instakopped - it is my fav piece of Epaulet kit ever - that I grabbed it for that day in 2028 I wear out my first one. I've realized I probably haven't taken into account the other eight Doyles I will have bought by next year, and this seems an example of absurd planning - or one of the seven cardinal sins - and ought to offer this one back to the multiverse.

So I just pulled it out of the shipping box and the usual Epaulet wrapping I've kept as it arrived to take in situ pics for this post, and creases abound - that will work out w/ wear or ironing, and that I'm leaving as is (see seven cardinal sins above). Just think of it as quite temporarily cultivating - until you iron it or wear it in Florida for two minutes - the intentional creasiness of a Sage de Cret piece from SF-affiliate NoMan's shop.

I learned in the Army that the longer your job title, the less important your role. So "Navy REDA Fresco Doyle" calls the bluff on all those "Moonspruce Hospital Gurney Tweed et cetera" variations. Tops, tops. This is the one.

In the spirit~ish of the Epaulet sale page blowing up this week, but not the spirit of what those FJs and safari jacks are going for, and somewhat in the spirit of closet cleaning, offering at $225+ shipping.

Mike talks it up in a big way here:

WTB: American Trench x Epaulet Chestnut Corduroy Trousers (Walt fit), size *31*

In case the lucky one who just bought the last 31 pair on sale is also on this forum, do drop me a line if you find that it's not to your liking after trying it on. It was final sale, but if you have regrets, I'll take it off your hands at the same price and I'll cover shipping.
