1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Unfortunately, short of saying "Send me an email so I can buy this outside of EBay" I can't seem to get the dude to figure out my super clever hints. Oh well.

A lot of buyers don't know (more like dont care to look at shipping charges) and buy things and then ask you to take off customs fee. I've had like 4 buyers back out last month just because of that...some will go to paypal some just dgaf and not pay.

Not worth it at all as a seller.

They are constantly monitoring their messages. They have an incredibly in-depth internal search engine named Cassini, you think their knowledge stops there?

    +1.

Yea because eBay won't catch onto that...

I was a long time ago when I didn't realize it was easily catchable (I was "young and stupid" although I basically just apologized to eBay and promised not to do it again, they let me keep my account and I don't think they would have been so kind these days).

I knew of someone who had also been caught with conducting business outside, regularly. Didn't get caught the first time, but once you do, they can easily backtrack to see if its been a habit. The alternative is of course having a web store along with an eBay store to help naturally generate business outside, honestly.

If you are a regular seller, I personally do not believe 100, 200, or even a 500 dollar sale outside the lines of eBay is worth saving the 10% at the risk its poses.

Now, I've had SF members contact me via eBay, and then follow up with PM's here, without giving any indication or speculation via eBay messages about a potential outside sale. In that case, if I feel all my bases are covered, I have no problem sending an invoice through PP to them.
