Haha don't be ridiculous. It's just usually assumed that someone is selling an authentic good, when they list it as 100% authentic I instantly begin to examine it for any sign of it being a knock off. And the majority I've seen that have stated that are either often duplicated or definitely fakes.

Even when it's not fake and you just don't like it, Paypal will protect :teach: Have no fear, Paypal sucks big time.

If you trust a "2x your money back" guarantee from someone knowingly selling fakes then you're a moron. I don't need a scammer's guarantee; that's what ebay and paypal are for.

I've sold hundreds of authentic items, most worth at least a few hundred dollars, and never once have I mentioned its authenticity nor have I been asked about it. I've also never asked anyone else about an item's authenticity, because if someone lacks the decency to not sell counterfeit goods, I'm not going to trust them to be upfront about it.

As is evidenced in this thread, mentioning an item's authenticity up front is a red flag.

That's not what he said. Nice strawman.

Haha I was poking fun, chill out homie.

You guys generalized and just said if somebody says authentic you assume fake. Never stated 'if he's known for selling fakes'. That was my entire point.

No theres a lighter fade in the exact same spot on each pair. Some (most, even) people just think they need way more jeans than they actually do.

Yeah, don't know if you guys saw, but that's a relisting of an older auction. The first time around, he had written that the jeans belonged to some roommates from his Williamsburg apartment. Apparently they were in a huge bus accident and he suddenly found himself living alone and having to cover everyone's rent, etc. A bit morbid, so I can understand why he'd omit all that when he reposted the listing.
