Personally not waiting for the sale to buy anything this season. I can't imagine ever wearing a sweater/sweatshirt with a stupid "D" on it. $900 for that jacket?

The only thing I sort-of liked is that flannel chore coat but it's not worth the price even at 50% off.

Sigh.

I would wear it just because my name ?

This little casual look will cost you $2,500 (including shoes and shirt)...Anyone on here that actually buys this stuff at full price? Or are we all circling like buzzards waiting for the sale to go belly up?

I like Drakes and show my support by being their customer. For expensive things I do wait for the sales and this year I might not even wait for that because of higher prices on their items.

FWIW, the art is taken from Shahnameh, an epic poem by the Persian poet Ferdowsi

Why do you think the art is from Shahnameh? Firdausi wrote it some 500 years before the arrival of the Mughals in India and some 200 years before the Mongol hordes invaded Central Asia, India and Iran.

Most likely the art work is taken from Shahjahannama, official history of shah jahan’s reign. He ruled during the 17th century and built the Taj Mahal. Or it could be the art work from the autobiographical account of his father, who enjoyed hunting as a sport.

Mughal’s official language was also Persian, if you were going by the script on the artwork.

Do you mean the actual leaf print I posted? That's listed as Shahnameh at Christies

I only buy on sale or second hand, so I fully understand that I’m not drakes target consumer lol

Similar to what @david.flo said - I bought Crosby boots and 3 OCB deal at retail. Both I’m very happy with. I bought a bunch of other items at sale last season.

I have my eye on a few more items for this year sales (not the multi coloured chore jacket sadly). Mainly classics and I’m a common size so not sure how many will be in stock. Also found the UK online store really buggy last year, so it was like a lottery to see if orders would go through.

But this isn’t unique to Drake’s. I usually buy clothes on sale. Typically I’ll only pay full price on shoes. There are too many options and too frequent offers to justify full price usually.

Going to Copenhagen next week.

Any stores to recommend? I know Goods CPH stocks Drake's. Other stockists? I'm happy to receive recommendations of other stores in the CM category.

That suede "fun" chore coat is cool. It is, in fact, too cool to be worn by anyone who posts on StyleForum.
