If there’s one of the Paraboot chambord shoe around in a US 12 at the sale, I’d gladly pay for the time.

Almost a week later and still no tracking email from Drake's. Anyone else?

Never been to a drake’s sample sale - I know it’s not common but for anyone that was there today - are there fitting rooms or do you just buy what you get your hands on?

Nope, nada. Was in earshot when a guy asked if there was somewhere to try on pants, and he was told to try them over top of what he was wearing if he really needed to

The space was essentially an abandoned/unfurnished store space - raw concrete floors, sheetrock walls, plastic tables, etc. Which is fine - if you value a polished shopping experience, samples sales aren't for you.

But still, beyond mirrors up front and a sales counter, there wasn't much; no benches to try on shoes, nowhere to set anything down, etc.

I haven't been to a sample sale in a long time, but back when I used to go to them often, the fitting rooms -- if there were any -- were somewhat useless because everyone is trying to find as much good stuff as they can. So you have to rummage and decide quickly.

Tops and jackets are pretty easy to try on. One trick for pants is to wrap the waistband around your neck. If the waistband touches the back of your neck, they will fit.

If it's the same space on Canal as last year, no fitting rooms.

Has anyone who’s ordered online recently to Canada (or the US) faced import duties? I never have before due to CETA, but Brexit appears to have thrown a wrench in that (Drake’s removed their explicit confirmation that no duties would be owed). With this said, this past November I wasn’t charged anything by DHL, and they’re normally on the ball. Am I missing something?

*edit: just learned about DDP shipping…*

Full size run on grey raglan. 40% off. I couldn’t justify it at retail since I have 25 coats but at 40 off I am a buyer.
Casentino vests $295, which was about what I bought my other one for in sale at the store years ago, but I love it and was fine having an extra one.
How do you find the length and silhouette on the new raglans?

Same, not even an order receipt. Also from Switzetland.
That I got. But I‘m used to waiting after every Archive Sale. And usually a product I‘ve ordered will be canceled - most likely the one I really wanted. But I do believe that a week is the longest I‘ve had to wait, especially strange as this Archive Sale wasn‘t really a big one.

length is long by design. Im typically a 40 and sized Down to a 38 and still plenty of room. Fit is supposed to be oversized snd slouchy.

Someone told me about that neck trick years ago and I though they were insane. It’s amazing how accurate it is though. Some overlap is key though for a comfortable fit IME.
