Tempted to pick up a pair of navy linen trousers to go with the jacket I purchased before the sale.

I haven't bought trousers from Drake’s for a couple of years. The new measurements have the rise at under 10” on a 34. Surely that can’t be right? The older trousers had a fairly full rise. Can’t anyone with recent experience advise?

Does the measurement include the waistband?

It's unclear from their size chart, but I assume not. Which, that is a dumb, European practice.
That could be it. As you say, it’s a bit daft, and it still seems short. They used to describe the rise as “extended”, but they now use “mid rise”.

How does everyone feel about those cotton sweater vests? Thinking about picking some up but also not sure off hand how I'd wear them

I bought these (https://www.drakes.com/usa/sale/navy-cotton-twill-trousers) last month in a size 30 and the 9.7'" measurement does not include the waistband. They are cut in their house style, but are more of a mid rise than high, so I returned them.

Seems odd to get hung up on labels when Drake's is re-branding everything. Has anyone compared Drake's tailoring from Belvest, Caruso, and Lardini to determine if there is in fact a difference?

Yep. Tailoring was fully canvassed with Belvest and Caruso. The Lardini pieces, while nice, are half canvassed. That's a pretty significant step down in quality, imo.
