I run a tight ship in terms of wardrobe and plan things out, so I dug this article and bookmarked it a while ago.

David's tastes in clothing interest me and somewhat align with mine, so it helped me tick things off that have worked in my wardrobe. Also gave some great ideas on where to branch out (Tonal blue denim looks, RRL Ranch Cardigans etc).

The word “timeless” is over applied but I would say it works here

FWIW, it is a reoccurring series, but the features have become less frequent. That post on David was also especially long -- many posts have gotten longer when we moved off Tumblr because the format looks somewhat empty with the new layout unless you write a bit. But you can find older entries here under the tag "Real People."

Glad you dug it, those ranch cardigans are a sickness, get one and then never look at them again or you'll end up selling a kidney to fund the 5th one.

I did recently pick up a RRL suede western shirt, which I really like a lot. My fall sport coat plans were altered a bit and ended up replacing the sport coat purchase with the suede piece. It's really nice with jeans and a chambray shirt and leather boots for the fall. Not cheap, but what the hell is these days?

I was googling the price range, and it definitely gets into the territory of "grail piece". Worth it IMO, those cardigans are special. Cowichan sweaters are another type of sweater I was looking at.

This looks pretty dope to me.

I hadn't considered a suede western shirt, but I definitely dig how they look.

Cowichan's are awesome. You can find vintage ones on eBay here and there too. I look at the sweaters and suede like a bespoke sport coat. I wear them on the weekends like I would a sport coat, so that's sort of an even trade off, in my eyes anyway. Keep an eye out on the standard PRL line too, they sometimes drop similar sweaters for 1/3 the price.

Dope, thanks for the tips man, saved that to my "wants" list.

Mentally, I'm going to justify this in place of overcoats that I keep fiending over. I already have 4 coats, don't need another.

Also good looking out on the basic white linen shirt with dual chest pockets. It's 86F here for some horrible reason, and I didn't sweat while outside, and felt comfortable. Chest pockets prevent the nips from poking through.

I actually own the book Interaction of Color and it's really interesting. A couple friends have also purchased it after looking through my copy. It's too bad the app isn't on Android.

Anyway, you left us hanging, did you end up finding a long-sleeved polo?

Sadly very boring choices. I bought charcoal and forest green.

I really like this dusty pink polo from Canali, but it's pretty expensive and I'm sure I wouldn't look this good anyway. But I dig the color.
