My journey through DWW on ‘put this on’ continues -
This one absolutely killed me. Recommended for anyone who wants to laugh at others, and yet also, themselves.

I felt depressed by the Drakes thread so decided to re-read this article to cheer myself up remind myself conversations about menswear arent always miserable .

What's going on in the Drake’s thread? Sounds entertaining.

Being the flannel expert you are @dieworkwear did you see anything similar to this shirt Ben Gorham is wearing, with arm fringing, when writing about the west?

The flannel is easy to find, the arm front less so…..

I haven't seen a coat like that, but SLP under Hedi has made fringed leather jackets.

Funny, I just asked a friend about his fringe suede jacket he had in highschool (80s). He didn't have it and asked why I was asking. I couldn't bear to tell him western is currently having a moment. Back in the day, thrift stores were filled with them.

Derek talking about imogen and willie tees had me browsing their site…realized they have some hats for sale. How do you guys feel about this one:

This hat looks styled like a Tom Mix. Wide brim, kettle curl edge and Montana or "Gus" crease. Crown on this looks low and a hat like this needs to be high. I've never seen one in straw though. I think the only way to wear something like this is to go full kit. I don't have one but I will say I love the look of vintage Stetsons.
Here's a modern Stetson Tom Mix in action.

On the ranchwear topic - I'm headed to Denver for the first time next month, is there reason to check out Rockmount?

Yeah the store is definitely worth stopping into. Huge selection and just a fun shop even if you don’t wind up buying anything.
