It's been several years since I've so much as been in the same country as a decent clothes shop. Walking through the door and seeing this laid out before me I think I'd break into song like Grandpa Joe:

It looks like a clothing factory without the machinery - a worker's paradise.

I keep going back to that things better bought used article.

Chamois shirts, fatigue pants, denim jackets seem to slot in nicely in any vaguely trad/ivy/americana wardrobe. This isn't an old concept, Ralph Lauren has been doing this for decades.

In a way, I've come back full circle. One of the first things I bought when I was 18 or 19 was a pair of red wing boots and a fatigue jacket from GAP. A lot of these things feel like nice variations of what I've already been wearing.

It never actually clicked for me until recently, and it's a nice feeling when my wardrobe is starting to have more coherence and actual usability.

Was looking at photos of Dennis Hopper during the 1970s, and noticed he wore a Lee trucker in the 1971 film The Last Movie. Also wore one to interviews around that time.
