The poster I miss the most is @Butler whose disappearance does not seem to be traced to any particular thread but seems to have happened as an aggregate cultural effect that caused him to drift away. Hr. Hjerl if you are reading this, many of us miss your excellent posts and your Instagram account is no substitute.
That's very kind. I actually don't know why, but will consider to get back in action here!

Mended or not, what's the longest running piece of clothing in your personal rotation?

Mine are a few t-shirts circa 2002-'04. I keep up with the life-or-death maintenance as required, and I love those shirts with all my heart.

I have a pair of self edge x flathead jeans from like 09 I think. Needs to be repaired and I’m not even sure if it’s worth it.

Looking at SE’s repair prices, it would probably be 80+ and I don’t even wear jeans that much anymore. Shoutout to the days where repair was a flat price regardless of how extensive it was.

I had a pair of white Achilles low from 09 also that was dirty af and yellowed. Someone on eBay was willing to pay 130 for it so I took it and ran

I still have some t-shirts and thermals from the '90s, but they don't get that much wear. The oldest thing still in my rotation is probably a pair of Crocket & Jones pebble grain chukkas, the Brecon model. I think they're coming up on 11 years at this point? It's a pretty basic style, but I find goes with a lot of stuff. And it's still my go-to for travel shoes.

I have some Under Armour compression shirts from like 2003 or 2004. They don't get worn anymore since I put on a few lbs in the 14-15 years since.

I love old stuff, so I have a couple belts my sister gave me in 85, LL Bean camp mocs from my dad in 88, Levis and some flannels bought at thrift stores around then, some old triblend shirts from high school, a lot of my college stuff from the early 90s, like Patagonia and LL Bean active wear.

Sometimes I put stuff away for a year or three, then bring it back out. But the belts, camp Mocs, and an LL Bean micro fleece have been in pretty much constant use.

Ready to wear, not entirely that much besides some old concert tees I beat around the house in.

Accessories, Ive got a pair of Adidas superstars that are beat to shit after 10 years but cant get away from them. C&J Shell cordovan Lindricks going on 8 years. Gaziano & Girling Westminsters at about 10 years too.

the brecon model is great. I have them from about 2009/2010(?), and they are still going strong.
