was looking at prorsum spring 11 because i am always iffy on his spring collections compared to my love of his fall. I would let the Warrior Jacket sodomize me though. So strong.

That warrior jacket looks badass........

I never saw this thread before but I think its really good for people like myself who are just starting to get into these designers, personally I was stuck in lv/prada/gucci/theory land exclusively (sans the logo'd ****) until I switched jobs and moved to the great white north, I found this forum while looking for good ideas since I needed a switch from semi-formal/formal to casual/workwear and got into brands like eg/wwm/w+h which I never knew off before finding sf.

Now I find myself in a new position and a new office and my wardrobe needs to switch back to semi-formal/formal so now Im dropping the casual/workwear and looking at more classic/dressier options but theres not much of those designers here in Canada, for example I really like what I've seen online from junya/mmm/js and some dvn stuff too but rarely get to see any of their stuff irl and I'm hesitant to purchase them online considering I have no reference on fit and I usually wear a size XS/44 with a 28 waist, so wondering if I can get some feedback as to which designers have slim fitting clothing in these smaller sizes.

RO has a primal impetus, direction and even the capacity to expand his palette (he is moving into tailored territory, although I can't say I consider what he does successful right now it is getting there). Prorsum is just fashion whoring and trenchcoats (cause they have to).

RO plays with geometry, alien shapes, streetwear, rock cliches and even religious references. WTF does Prorsum touch upon?

Well all clothes that get worn are "clothes that people like to wear", wtf does that even mean? You can be into individual pieces if you like (i.e. there are some really nice recent Gucci pieces) but I like to look at collections as a whole.

i am in the same predicament as you but sizing isn't much a issue since most brands do make size 44. Normally it is shoe sizing that I have a problem finding (US8) with brands fitting one to two sizes off ex: Jil.

Somewhat on topic I am in love with the LV riding boots for f/w.

It means that I don't really see Prorsum as a "statement" brand like I would see Rick Owens as. They're just releasing cool pieces that fit a specific image. It's not very esoteric or artistic, but it is what it is. If you're looking for a message for Prorsum's collections, then you're right; there really isn't one.

the tailored stuff RO did in early on (I want to say 02 and 03) was very nice, not sure how/why his recent efforts in this vein are so hit and miss. I don't really dig RO as a whole but it is definitely > prorsum
