I originally sized down on Archilles as that appeared to be the consenus but found they were to small so ended up buying my regular size which fit fine. But BBall look like they come up a large based on measurements?

    Re: bball sizing
I go TTS on all achilles and bballs. Sized up on derby shine since the toe is narrower than achilles. Fits slightly long but perfectly comfortable.

No official list of colors but you can just look at the last 4 digits which represent the color code and are consist from season to season. The code only represents the color of the upper and not the color of the sole or the material of the upper, which are both represented by the first 4 digits. For example, black models will always end in 7547 regardless of whether we're talking about a regular achilles, derby shine, perforated slip-on, or suede chelsea. The most frequently recurring colors are:

    0506 - white
    7547 - black
    7543 - light grey

Lighting/photography makes the same colors appear different. The chelseas come in 4 suede colors which from lightest to darkest are:

    1302 - sand*
    0421 - tan*
    5472 - dark grey
7547 - black (looks dark grey under most lighting conditions)
    *Idk the official box names

Afaik there are also 2 different crepe soles on the suede chelseas:
    1897 - thinner crepe
1851 - slightly thicker sole with slightly higher heel (comes in multiple colors not represented by first 4 or last 4 digits)

Very much appreciated, and perfectly timed. Thanks for taking the time to post this. If you live in LA ground arrives the next day so its basically like getting free overnight :D. I assume they won't let you use the 10% promo on CP?

hmm interesting you're right i missed the 1797 which is from the SS2015 season. I'm guessing the only difference is the addition of a front pull tab and a black welt vs no front pull tab and tan welt on the 1897? Soles look the same. Kinda wish I didn't stop saving an archive of all CP releases last year lol

Do you think they are both the same suede color? The Crepe color looks a bit different as well - 1797 seems much lighter, and the 1897 a bit darker, more tan than white.

Perhaps "sand" is 1897? I'll certainly upload photos of the boxes for clarification

Can owners of the Chelsea boots who felt the size was perfect, was a bit snug on the small toe side when first trying the boot on if it loosed or released a bit, or if its just the same as when brand new? I supposed simply pushing a wooden shoe tree a bit firmer would do the trick as well? The suede seems to be softer than some others and a larger size was far too long.

I think there's a miscommunication here. The numbers you're referring to are the model numbers not the color codes...CP's color codes (last 4 digits as i mentioned previously) are pretty consistent season to season so I would go by those instead of descriptions like "sand/tan/beige/khaki" etc.

    Thanks for the clarification.

So far based on inventory and photos, description provided from several sites it seems there are the following models out there, with the following numbers. The names provided are as seen on the corresponding box photos and such. It seems there were a few differences based on 1 or 2 pull tabs, sole trim color is black on 1797 grey models, whereas 1851 are single and have a different color trim and sole hue. I've ordered a few pairs, I will post them when they arrive. I hope this helps anyone like myself who ordered 2 of the same boot, due to them being described as different names.

1797 _ _ 1302 Sand (dual pull tabs, lighter sole)
1797 _ _ 5472 Grey (dual pull tabs, lighter crepe sole, black sole trim )
1897 _ _ 1302 Sand and Tan (single tab, lighter sole)
1897 _ _ 5472 Dark Grey (single tab, lighter sole w/ brown sole trim
1851 _ _ 0241 Khaki (single pull tab, tan sole)
1851 _ _ 7547 Black Suede, single pull tab, black sole)
