1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Need some sizing guidance for the Chelsea boots.
    Measure size 8 on Brannock.
7.5 in chucks, 8.5 in Vans, 7.5 in Alden Barrie

    Suggestions?

I'd go 40. Maybe 41? Is it possible you could buy both to try them on if a store isn't close?

    44. It depends a lot more of the width of your foot though.

    44 or 43.

44 will likely be a little bit long, 43 will likely be better length-wise but you might find them to be tight in the toes.
    For reference I'm a US12 and wear 44's

yeah, i'm a US 12 and wear a 44. the toe box is too narrow, but the length is fine. a 45 is still too narrow, but too long as well.

Just got my winter combat boots from tbs. They fit pretty narrow, but actually feel more comfortable than my achilles in the same size.
And they look amazing with that tread sole!

Breaking in my Achilles gummy lows for the first time today, unfortunately its breaking me.

They do fit tighter than normal Achilles and feel less flexible. I got two massive blisters on my heels and couldn't walk. But at work so unable to change shoes, had to stick loads of tissue into the back of the heel to stop the rubbing.

Gotta say I've experienced the same issue. The Achilles are punishing on my heels. Unfortunately your foot might just not be right for them - do you have heel bone spurs?

Biggest issue I find is that the Achilles run hot. My feet get hotter in them than they do in any other sneakers or boots...

yeah that's an issue too. Make your feet feel like they're in a sauna.
Why is it we all love these shoes again (aside from their slim profile)?

I don't have any heel bone spur issues. I'll get these bastards to fit. Going to go double socked and wear it indoors till they stretch out. Can't do that for a while mine, my feet are destroyed.

agree they make your feet sweat once you've had them on for more than 4 or 5 hours. I don't have problems with heel blisters but I do find I tend to get a blister between my little toe and 4th toe if I wear them for to long. must be the narrowness puts pressure between the toes. anyone else experience this?

correction: it's the nail of my little toe pushing/cutting against my 4th toe which is causing the problem, just need to cut the nail back a little shorter there and it could be fine.

my achilles lows still squeak after three full days of wear

on the left shoe, too, i squeeze out an audible push of air on every other step i take (i think due to my high arch or something)
