Why are they in store? Is it 2023 in Japan already? Not sure why they're showcasing both SS22 and 23 at once.

Also the tinpot dictator jacket looks really cheap, like some DIY LARP/Steampunk stuff. What's it even supposed to be, a tailcoat with the tails cut off?

*edit*

Now I get it, he's a Michael Jackson cosplayer!

Anyone have these pants from Cosmic Cruiser? Was thinking of grabbing a flared or boot cut for a more loose fitting pair of trousers for something that's more giving during the recent heatwave. Wearing denim is so miserable right now.

Also couldn't tell of this pair from Mr Porter was the same -

They look similar, but the pair on Celine's website is a much lighter tone of brown where it almost looks like a pale tan color. But then the runway look on the same Celine page does look more tan than the picture of the pants by itself.

Also thinking about this pair:

which seems to be the same as

Second pair is a little more dressed up and cool imo.
The Prince of Wales version gives off a 1950's fancy dress party vibe to me.

Are boots the best footwear to pair with these type of flared bootcut trousers? Was thinking of grabbing the above one for that "1950's fancy dress party vibe" look but wasn't sure what to style it with. I'd probably wear these mainly during the summer, so was thinking about trying to pair them with brown loafers or white canvas sneakers (shoes like pottery), but having a hard time imagining the pants with them.
Maybe Celine Jodhpurs then I guess? Or Jacnos if I ever get around to buying them.

Yes Jacno boots look good. You can pair these trousers with a simple T-shirt or add a rollneck and jacket for dinner/ opera look. I have the lighter ones, loving the fit and movement

I think all of those footwear will look good with them. In fact I think you personally would easily be able to incorporate them in your look. The thing that turns me off a bit is how cropped they look, especially in the porter photos. I feel like with flares you need a little bit of break at the hem, as in the photos that rire posted. I don't like the way these hover:

Tried on the trousers at the Celine Madison location with a pair of Jacnos and ended up buying both after thinking they looked good together. They were not cropped in store compared to Mr. Porter, but still had to leave them at the store to have the inhouse tailor finish and hem the ends that were left undone. Besides that though I was happy with the length and break of the pants. They also definitly look better with the Jacnos than with a pair of loafers I was wearing.

Really struggling for anything to buy. I bought and returned the cord varsity in 50. The fit was absolutely perfect, beautiful, but the style is just too loud for me. The plain black wool with black leather sleeves from ss19 that Peter Utz wore would be more my style with a white t shirt and black suede boots.

Picked up the white with black waistband underwear. I'll keep them because I don't think there's a choice but I prefer the plain black and plain white.

Really must be getting desperate because I've been looking elsewhere.
I've ordered the plain white Prada 3 pack crew neck t shirts because I'm tired of waiting for Hedi now. Also been looking a little at the plain CD icon sweatshirts and knitwear (any feedback on fit? Sirgrotius maybe?), and maybe the LV plain black 50cm grain leather travel bag.

I'm also feeling like getting some new suits but Celine and Saint Laurent aren't appealing now, and I need 48 trousers and 50 jacket which they don't do generally. Considering Dior Homme made to measure if they still have the Hedi 2 button notch pattern (again Sirgrotius do you have any experience?). Others I'll probably just end up getting Sandro to use for the time being.

cheers

Yea, I'm in the same boat after picking up the flared trousers. I also grabbed the jacnos and skinny jeans (but I've been thinking about those for a while anyways). I've thought about picking up that same Prada tshirt pack, but not really in need of tshirts right now to warrant it. Grabbed two shirts from Saint Laurent though as I've liked some of Vaccarello's recent collections and a brown braided belt from Anderson's to wear with the flared pants.

Celine just doesn't carry enough wearable items compared to other brands. I wonder if there is no backing to flesh out the menswear as much as the womenswear. Hedi gets to have his menswear shows and sell trendier pieces from each collection, but an expanded essentials section seems nowhere in sight.
