ha, from the States. I find the webstore is updated sporadically but usually there are a few new items and some of the more classic pieces get a full new set of sizes, such as the cashmere sweaters in the essentials collection.

I asked because I've never seen flooring like this. I fantasized it to be some type of recycled green flooring from Sweeden lol.

Oh yes I appropriated my workout room during this pandemic. My video calls mercifully do not look down that far. ;) it’s weirdly grown on me since has that recycled spongey feel to it versus usual office space.

Relaxed pants and pointy boots is what people will remember about the 2020s

Anybody have any experience with this jacket? Thorns any photos around? Cheers

I decided not to order the tennis stripes trousers (for now at least). I think I'd prefer something with a bolder stripe like the AW15 ones. I'll still take a look in person but based on the pictures they aren't quite the right ones for me, especially at 1000 GBP for the black.

Sir G, are you going to get a belt going with those fits?

Bill that's an astute observation!

The inside scoop is I was a Dior suit wearer so often pre-pandemic that I sort of adopted the adage that if pants fit you correctly, one doesn't need a belt! Also, I've always thought of them (belts) as interrupting one's silhouette. That said, I suppose they could be a useful add, and these days, I'm much more casual, so dressy is a blazer/dress shirt top, slim jeans, often also, leather jacket or varsity jacket (I don't think I can let it go, the Teddy calls to me somehow!) and skinnier jeans, ha.

What is the go-to Celine belt for those types of ensembles? I usually vary between the classic indigo shades and black, of course. I had a Christian Dior belt but I think it literally had the CD (d reversed) as the buckle, so I wore it once and was immediately embarrassed and never wore it again!!

Sirgrotius you can't really go wrong with the square buckle 2.5 cm. You know I'm pretty simple so I have the black smooth calf and the black lizard embossed calf. I also have the 1.8cm smooth calf. There have also been lots of variations like brown woven etc.

I don't really like belts with suit trousers though. And I'd often give them a miss with blue jeans. But with black jeans always.

One other quick note, I ordered the Union Wash Skinny Denim. They'll have to be a return, as the fades on the knees do not line up correctly. Otherwise, I loved them. Super comfy fabric and excellent quality - very hefty denim, and I noticed Made in Japan, which I like. The cut was excellent, and not overly long, but again, probably better for someone 5'9"-6'2".

If you don't mind me asking, how does the wash look in person? The e-commerce photos make them look like some of the best pre-distressed denim I've ever seen, but I'm curious if that actually carries over to real life. Bummer about the fades not lining up.

I have to say @SirGrotius' place does look incredibly nice and the shirt fits well. I personally find that Celine shirts generally have quite short sleeves for my long-ass arms.

Interesting discussion about belts. After thinking about it I realize I also always wear a belt with black denim while I don't for other colors. Not sure why, as I've just realized this. I don't think I know myself very well. : )

I think I really like the idea of no belt for very minimalistic looks when talking about trousers. I also like no belt when wearing jeans to give off a very carefree casual feeling.

I know people like Punchman get clowned on for being obsessed over what Hedi wears, but in Hedi I trust. I always look at how he styles his own looks for references. His belts post-Dior Homme lean slimmer and less bulky.

Hedi likes wearing vintage distressed brown belts casually to his all mainly black colour palette

No belt because it gives off a "can't be bothered" casual vibe

Jared Leto is my inspiration. Close to 50 and still looking like his late 20s. Perfect to blend in with the 18-20 crowd, if you know what I'm saying.
