Celine loves being clunky. They also still haven't fixed that whole issue where you click "details" on a belt and then a screen pops up telling you how to take care of your sunglasses.

Yeah, it's terrible.

Lemaire English copy is similarly subpar. Every single one of their promotional emails contains at least one error.

It makes no sense to me. Surely luxury brands can afford to pay a native speaker to write their marketing copy.

I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum, continuing to spend obscene amounts of money on clothes merely in anticipation of post-pandemic life.

These were all bought years before the pandemic though


Also, I don't wear sweats. I own one pair of sweatpants and one hoodie. They get worn maybe for a few hours after work before bed.I've never once worn them in public.

I like how it so cleanly delineates dancing kid from mens fw20/women's ss21, if you look at their IG in gallery view.

I like how their bio is so clean too, in contrast to ysl:

Don't know what ysl is adding with saying "The official..." when the blue tick indicates that, nor why they need a 1999 www. prefix. find it a bit cringe how they singularly follow Vacarello too, but I guess it must work for them, I feel like even little things like that separate the two brands (more trashy trashy => slightly more classy).

This is shocking, and to me a little cringe. I get it a little more with celebs, but introducing "Anna P" who - whoop-de-doo just had her first campaign with Celine....??? What airhead is that nugget of info meant to be attractive to?

But I know how hypocritical it is of me to point out the Vacarelllo thing when every single Celine post has #CELINEBYHEDISLIMANE etc, but (trying desperately hard to separate blind fanboy-ism), I feel like that works for Celine, and Hedi has enough clout to throw around tags like that without it looking try hard.

I got a plugin for chrome called High Resolution Downloader for Instagram, it allows you to simply click anywhere in a picture you've opened from your Chrome browser, and brings up a little non-intrusive prompt that gives you the option to either download in one click, or open in another tab. Useful for harvesting pictures of interest :foo:

I also think it is a tradition to mark his work, so that it can't be easily taken by others. I think Hedi started with HEDI SLIMANE FOR YVES SAINT LAURENT RIVE GAUCHE HOMME. I think it is also related to how creative directors come and go. I think Kris Van Assche copies Hedi and does that too. Berluti by Kris Van Assche.
