I do like the more romantic looks from Celine though. That's one part that fw13 misses. It doesn't have the same romanticism. It feels more no-nonsense.

That blazer fits perfectly. I remember a shoot of AW13 done by a famous stylist in a house with men and women wearing AW13. That was great styling. And the sense magazine styling was nice too.

There was a great editorial of SS13 with the mandarin collar blazer and other pieces that reminds me of the fit of the blazer in that picture, do you have that picture thorns?

I'm easily dated evidenced by my clear preference toward those DH and SL pics that thorns posted. The oversized leather jacket looks like a trash bag to me, and I'm not feeling the shoulder seams slipping down over the side. Hedi wears them well himself without it looking too small, etc. where obviously they pushed the envelope on the DH runway.

I caught on late so the only ss13 looks I have off "runway" is this link:

Ss13 Campaign/lookbook:

I don't think I have any more from that specific shoot, but I'll post some blazer looks that I saved that might be more rare

I forgot how much I like the 3 button blazers.

And that Hedinism shoot was so good that's the one I was talking about in the house. There's a load of other pictures and a video as well somewhere on vimeo.

Another video I really liked was the foxes magazine Charlie Oldman SS 15.

There were so many great stylists working with SL stuff. I see hardly any decent editorials with Celine. It's a shame.

After looking at fw13 looks more closely, and comparing it to some of the Celine looks, it can be argued that it is pretty "bland" and "simplistic".

ss19 with the cropped jeans and interesting pleated pants feels a bit more "designed"

fw19's silhouette also feels a bit more distinctive, and experimental

ss20 has that relaxed, suave, romantic feeling, the flared pants dramatizes the looks

fw20 continues the romanticism of ss20 but elevates it with aristocratic elements:

ss21 with the high waisted pleated trousers paired with white sneakers is very eye catching, the layering of silver necklaces also plays a factor in making it stand out

It is very understandable why someone would think fw13 is boring. I do think it is the simplicity of fw13 that does attract me to it. It might not look as distinctive as other seasons, but there is beauty in simplicity.

May anyone advise on Luco Loafer sizing? Usually wear a 9.5-10 and I’m wondering if the 10 would be too big. I appreciate the feedback as always!

I don't know about the sizing but I do like the loafers. I saw Luka Sabbat wear them with a Celine Varsity and thought they looked great. I'm not sure what I have that I'd wear them with though. Varsities and denim jackets I suppose for the Teddy style. I have too many shoes already though.

I’ve been condensing my shoe collection the past year or so, selling the loud pairs (Python French 85s, Stud Harness Santiags, etc) and moving towards more traditional pairs (Rangers, 40mm Camargue Chelseas, etc). Looking to upgrade from my derbies to a pair of loafers.

I like both the loafers and the single-monk Jacnos. Just not sure how I’d work them into the rotation, and thinking they would just become shoes to wear to the office. In which case, they might be too fancy for the office... and not going there anytime soon anyway.

For anyone who has the loafers or monks, how do you style them?

G-Eazy, @ryxtvz, @vn_varenne, @danielressa, @freddytheswede on ig all style the loafers very well both casually and more dressed up
