I can’t figure out the stock either. Many things seem to be marked as not available. On the other hand, I’ll just change my location to one other the other Celine sites (say the UK) and then choose find in store on a size but geolocate myself and then I’ll actually find stock by me in the NYC boutiques. So I have no idea.

I was told the website in the US is stocked by a separate import company.

I love how you always create a backstory
I was thinking in terms of something like this

I can imagine those little phone bags being cute, and probably a nice entry product.

Japan really is another major market for Celine/Hedi. So much so that they would have a special promotional event launched there and nowhere else.

I remember reading that one of the first flagships for Dior Homme was also in Japan back in the day.

Nicolo has also taken a liking to that fw20 brown suede jacket:

This silhouette looks very flattering on him.

Interesting combo idea. Oversized leather jacket gives an ss21 vibe, while lower half is ss20 vibes.

The leather on those Jacnos look good. Nice rolls.

Japan was a huge market for Hedi's DH, bigger than London, and then of course for Saint Laurent too. That's why I knew that guy didn't know what he was talking about when he tried to say the Milan market was important and that Tokyo was irrelevant. It's actually the opposite.

Puttysan - agreed, Celine shirts are great. That one in particular looks excellent on you and is a very interesting, modern pattern yet harkens back to the 70s somehow.

I dunno, this seems dangerously close to "wearing your dad's clothes" to me.

I like rolls too up to a point, his (on the right foot) makes me think he's wearing a size large, can somehow imagine the leather folding in an unpleasant way when he walks.

And that oversized leather is an atrocity imo.

I wonder if sizing down one would produce a fit similar to this, which I think looks really great:

I might be stuck in the past but as much as I like that jacket, I'd prefer a narrower shoulder like the AW14 one Hedi wore to the show.

Seems like fitted shoulders is also Hedi's preference despite introducing a more voluminous silhouette at Celine. I'm undecided how I truly feel about being current or not. I'm not too concerned with being trendy or wanting to be on the cutting edge of a trend. I'm trying to think back about my perception of Dior Homme back in the 2010s. There was something about it that felt outdated.

Of course there were still looks that I felt were relevant. I wonder when I will start feeling that fw13 styling is outdated. It might be my own bias, but there is something quite classical in the fit for fw13. No exaggerated sagging, stacking, or cropping for pants. There was an element of minimalism presented on runway with the all black looks. Everything was so fitted and it didn't feel like there was any unnecessary fabric used.

I'm in the middle. I like a nice classic fit, think Peter Utz' kind of style. The kind of style you can wear anywhere. As much as there's stuff from AW13 I like and own, what a lot of people think of as the AW13 look to me looks like a costume, I've had about as much as I could take of seeing groups of East Asians on Instagram all dressed the same in L01s or 17s, harness boots etc.

DH silhouette looks dated for me too. Jeans are too sloppy and jackets often too small rather than slim.

Clothes from Hedi's AW15 and maybe Christopher Bailey's AW12 Prorsum (haven't looked at this for a long time though so that might look dated too now) are probably the collections that are most my taste, but I'm still happy to combine other looks from other collections for variety.
