Is hooded sweatshirt a UK term? I've never heard it before and was wondering if somehow different from a hoodie (e.g., sans pockets), but doesn't seem to be the case from above!

On a somewhat related note, I have this black sweatshirt, sans hood, but with the classic kangaroo pockets from SLP, maybe 2014, that surprisingly is great if you're going low-fi casual.

hooded sweatshirt and hoodie are interchangeable in the uk, regardless of whether it has a zip or kangaroo pocket. hoodie is also a (usually derogative) term for the 'youths' that wear them

Celine jacnos but smaller heal version. Hoodies look like something you could find in Walmart and just plaster the logo on them. I feel fakes would look better than those

Teenagers literally ONLY wear oversized hoodies at this point so makes sense from a commercial standpoint the brand would try and capitalize.

I'm in the UK, mid 30s, have never used the term 'hooded sweatshirt' & wear plenty of hoodies. Never thought to use the term pejoratively .

A lot of influencers are being gifted/promoting colourful ss21 hoodies:
