I’m happy with the Camargue Biker Boots I’ve received. Super comfy and construction is of good quality, they’ve stitched the soles nicely and even used nails. I don’t know if they’ve improved the quality since releasing them last year.

So did anyone even end up pulling the trigger on the metallic gold leather Blouson? I was thinking about picking it up myself but I know there was discussion a few months ago regarding the quality of the construction (specifically the lack there of) and hopefully someone can comment on it in terms of the actual piece.

I haven't seen it in person, so this is just my not too well informed opinion, but I think that would be really hard to pull off. In fact, I feel like all the leathers that hediboy identified as making it to sales have crucial problems with them aesthetically, and I personally will be passing on. I feel like the gold one doesn't really look like a real leather jacket, and may even give off slightly member's only jacket vibes. I also feel liek that particular color may not work well with most skin tones.

I think the green one that you got (and didn't post fit pics of, by the way) is deadly as ****, and I'm also looking at the similar one in black. In fact, I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and pay full retail for one of them, and maybe grab an SLP one if I can find one on sale that I like. I feel like if you're paying this much money for leather jackets, you want something you'll be close to 100% satisfied with, and why not just pay a bit more to achieve that as opposed to getting something you kinda like but got cheaper?

Interesting thoughts. Funny enough, what you mentioned about buying a Celine leather for full retail and possibly grabbing an SLP on sale is what my plan is, only with the roles reversed (Celine sale, full price SLP). That being said, maybe I should wait for the SLP Sale as I know it will be coming soon.

I do agree that the metallic gold blouson could be hard to pull off for sure and complexion would certainly play a part. Thankfully I do have a naturally darker complexion and very dark hair (when not bleached icy blonde) so I’d like to think I can make it work with say an all dark outfit. But I’m not sold on picking it up due to concerns about the construction quality.

Yes I will post some fit pics (or UNFIT pics as Louis said due to my quarantine eating habits the last few months) over the weekend when I wear it again.

@GG Allin : the black one you posted is not the same as the green one. Front pockets are kind of hidden. And stitches are less complicated. I, too, have my eyes on a black one, but not full price, it's a rip off.

@Louis Louis : yeah, I noticed that that black one I posted had different detailing from the green one, I only meant that they are similar in terms of proportions.

@Bryan55 : As far as I can tell, only SLP and Celine have cool leather jackets this season. I like some of the Tom Ford ones, though. So, yeah, I'm in the same boat, mostly just looking to see what makes it to sales for those brands. I kinda feel like I'm going to have to pay retail, if hediboy's indication of which leathers made it to sales is true for the USA too.

So I ended up pulling the trigger on the Bottle Green bomber myself via Labels which was coupled with the great discount too and was marked off even more. I received it today and it’s a great fit! In fact, I very well may have been able to pull off a 48 as I still have some room under my arms and through my obliques but I think the 50 is a good fit. I can always have it adjusted a bit by my tailor has they do a good job on leather work. I also love the leather quality, you’re 100% correct Louis, it’s very soft and the color looks great!
