The Lanvin one is nice but does take it into the sporty realm a little too much for me. That being said, I love mohair stuff with the springy feel and how warm they are.

Thanks so much for the French Connection link - I've just ordered a size M to try so will have to report back. At that price I feel I'd worry less/be more carefree in how much I baby the piece, and affords me the option of buying a backup too in case I see myself wearing it a lot.

I found a perhaps equivalent version in a diff colour: https://www.frenchconnection.com/product/58mbo/cashmere-hoodie.htm - the way the hood drapes across the back is promising, I'll reserve judgement re. the couple of reviews - one regarding the arms being loose I'll wait as I fill out most sleeves comfortably, and the other comment about it being a "Very soft fine knit".. well.. I'd be interested in how fine a gauge the knit is ... I was making a blind assumption that the Celine version might be a thicker knit (mid-weight, wouldn't want it too thick), which might somehow justify the cost, and I think I'd generally prefer something mid-weight over something paper thin, would go better with the grungier way I'd like to style things. Fingers crossed.

Whilst we're on the topic, I'll mention that my interest in wool/cashmere/mohair hoodies for this winter was primarily motivated by two things: 1 - just itching to buy something nice I'll get use out of and 2 - only just recently re-discovering a wool hoodie from Helmut Lang I got gifted a few years back but wore once - I'd say it's slightly thinner than I'd like, and the hood is a bit lifeless... but the exposed stitching is a nice subtly subversive detail, and the flat drawstring cords finished with the brushed square aglets elevates (lol - elevates - thorns just suddenly sprung to mind) it.

So here's a fit pic with the existing hoodie, I'll be trying the French Connection hoodie with the same outfit and see how it compares. This is only the 3rd time I've worn this FW20 suede jacket because I was a bit precious about ruining it, and it's not warm enough for winter, until the penny dropped with me about being able to apply the warmer layer beneath it. I used Saphir Super Invulner on it before it's first outing several months ago, and I'll continue to apply that periodically, but wearing it would still be at my peril with the weather in London. BUT... maybe it'll actually turn out looking nicer once it's got some character to it (read: suede becoming darker in stress points, exacerbated by rain/smog in the tube/newspaper ink transfer/whatever) - it'll become my test jacket at the Celine/SL price point to (try) not to give a **** about basically.

Ah nice, thanks so much! Interested to see how it is. If you do stick with that French Connection one, I'd consider buying some metal aglets to attach to the cord which will help them fall more nicely and make it look more premium. A shiny aglet goes a long way ?

All this talk about the cashmere hoodie is making me bitter that the US online store doesn't have it available lol

Considering travelling in the spring and might be worth it just to prioritize going to a Celine store in Paris to see what options I'm missing out on. I suppose at that point Cosmic Cruiser items would have started hitting the shelves. Really wish the cashmere hoodie was added to the Celine essentials list that's kept every season.

sporting the union wash jeans a lot on random excursions:
I almost always stick to black or dark grey trousers, but do admire the union wash's compliment to the autumn colored leaves.

Also really craving a leather bag after that picture Randeep!

But is it weird that I'm already getting nostalgic for things that happened two years ago? I guess that's bound to happen when you don't care for the last three menswear shows but I've found myself looking at a lot of jackets from before the TDK era. It's like one of your favorite bands releasing multiple albums that you don't care for so the previous ones become even more special.

I don't think it matters how many years have passed given that the changes since TDK gives off the feeling of an entirely new "era," even if the collections are still from Celine. So feeling nostalgic for a different "era" seems completely understandable.

the iconic cashmeres feel great, but im a cotton hoodie type of dude and live in visvim jumbo hoodies. i like layer a lot and dont really go for clean layers, and never tuck **** in, so i dont mind a t shirt sticking past a hoodie sticking past a jacket. little unkept is best imo.

a sleeper jacket imo is the padded biker jacket from ss19, season is cropped and slim but i liked how pulled back the hardware was. you can get them (and other past season leathers) for relatively cheap.

I use Saphir Super Invulner on some of my boots that I don't mind if they get a little wet.

Do you use it on your L17 as well? Since my L01 is lamb, I was thinking about applying it. I'm really hesitant on getting caught in the rain with it on.

So many amazing pieces from CC, my favorite being this sequined open side tank top.

I was skeptical of Cosmic Cruiser. But this photo of Ruijin Zheng wearing the sequin black cloak has me absolutely floored. I think someone commented the ravekid influences on CC, but it never clicked for me. But now seeing this actually worn casually I can perfectly imagine wearing this by dancing your heart away into the night, the sequins sparkling and lights flashing. I am now in love with it and the ethos of CC. (Still a hard no on the elephant jeans though lol)
