I would pair that look with Nightclubbing to make sure it pushes that incongruence to make sure people know this is about rebellion.

Love that look with slightly older model sporting the longer hair. I need to pick up that Celine striped dress shirt. I feel like it's quintessential Celine.

@thorns aren't you appaled by the low quality of these GAT shoes ?
One don't even get that kind of cellulite leather on 80€ Adidas.
Maybe i'm old school but for me Luxury = Design + Quality.
Even the Margiela version are of a better quality.

Unfortunatly it's not a Celine prerogative, i've recently checked Lanvin sneakers and the leather pieces aren't even cut straight.
I think luxury houses are loosing it, frankly these kind of shoes may cost 30/35€ to them (material + labour). They can afford to loose 5/10€ more and deliver a perfect product but they do prefer rentability over quality. Hermes sneakers seem to be perfectly executed.

Hermes leather and craftsmanship is a different level though right? Maybe Chanel and Dior can occasionally compete, and other houses here and there but not consistently. I do gather that Celine has more QA/quality issues than I have heard in other Hedi-inspired threads.

I'm not too well versed to the leather used for sneakers, and I'm not sure I judge sneaker leather similarly to how I judge dress shoe/boot leather, so I defer to your judgement. I don't think I'm educated enough about it to make an informed decision on leather quality of sneakers.

I know that early season SL01s creased quite readily and were quite soft. When Anthony took over, he switched the leather to something more rigid, and creases less readily but less "plush".

SL37s have an entirely different leather they used. It was processed and feels very rigid.

Some pictures of well worn Triomphe sneakers that may be used as an indicator for how they would wear and age.

Can you explain what you mean by cellulite leather? I'm not too familiar with leather sneakers. I've always thought they looked better beat up, so I've never really put too much thought about it but now I'm interested in learning more.

A lot of cool posts from @thorns

Sexy bourgeois Celine girl

Is there a name for this style of denim? I really love this look with the boots.

Take this with a few grains of salt because I don't know anything about leather, but the triomphe lows truly don't feel like anything special either when it comes to the feeling of the leather.

Beat up uniformly is good but on my picture (yours) you see that the leather on the right heel is not good, like a glue issue.
An additional problem is that they don't cut both shoes in the same leather piece, therefore after a while the 2 shoes don't age the same way. If i pay €100 i don't really care if i pay €500 i do care.

Look at this >>>

Even if not Celine it's interesting (and we're not that far).

EDIT : thanks to @RedVelvetWounds for his/her interesting addition (see below). It is a lot of reading but definitly worth it.

This is an interesting thread to read after watching that video. Two sides to every story, of course.

Yeah this resonates with me. The sad part is that you never truly know until you start wearing them and developing the creases to see whether there is symmetry between how both shoes crease.

This pair is symmetrical.

The asymmetrical nature does add a grunge carefree vibe to them though.

Same, I recently checked Lanvin's sneaker offerings and was appalled how the "Bumper" sneakers looked, like they were deformed. Hermes shoe designs are mostly just so boring for me.

As to the Celine models, looked like a pretty cringey lot, stereotypical feminine skinny "I read poetry" guys.

Perhaps this is one reason why canvas might be the choice for some people who don't want to see those creases as readily.

There is definitely a soft boi element to some of Hedi's Celine low heel sneakers. The Z trainers are probably the most masculine of the range.
