So I guess what I was trying to say is get an idea of what sizes you are in different Carmina lasts and probably more forum member will be able to help, as I personally have no idea about the brand of the shoes that you wear.

I'm so sorry to do this, but I am confused by some of the contradictory information.

    If I am a 7.5 in C&J 348 last and an 8 in the 236 last, I assume I am...

    7.5 in Inca/Rain
    8.5 in Simpson/Queen/Alcudia
    8 in all other sizes?

But some have said that they wear similar sizes in Inca and Alcudia (theoretically a whole size apart if Simpson and Alcudia are similar fits, and Inca and Rain are similar fits)

    help?!

    Hi

    I would really appreciate some sizing help. I wear a US9D most times....a UK 8 and a EUR42.

For the C&J 314 Last (C&J Harvard) I wear a UK8.5 (and its near perfect).

I am interested in the Inca (double monk), Rain, Robert & Forest Lasts from Carmina.

From the responses Ive seen here I gather I am a UK 8 for Carmina. But their sizing chart on the e-shop likens a US9 to a UK 8.5.

This has me a little confused as I do not want to be returning shoes.

My foot measures 26.5cm (length) and 9.5cm (width).

Could anyone help me decide if Im a UK 8 or 8.5 for the Carmina Lasts I mentioned?

    Many thanks

Ok, that sounded complicated...let me rephrase.

Carmina recommends a US9 should go for a UK8.5 on their sizing help.

Has anyone here who wears a US9 taken that advice and has it worked...or did you just get a UK 8 and all was well?

    Cheers

Ordered a pair of Carmina in the forest last. Will post my experience when they come in. Guys at Epaulet were very helpful with my sizing questions.

Looking for Carmina sizing help as well. I have a narrow foot and wear:

    9.5 Ferragamo Tramezza Burgundy
8.5 E C&J 360 last (Malton) (slightly too wide) Chestnut
    9.5 C Peal & Co (C&J 240 last) Tan
    9/9.5 D Edward Green 82 Last Black

So far I can surmise that I would be an 8.5 UK in the Simpson last. Can anyone comment on if this would be a true narrow?

    Next question.
Whats the next shoe I should work into my rotation?

    http://www.thearmourystore.com/shoes/carmina-brown-punched-captoe-oxford-simpson-last

I wear mostly navy and gray suits...

    Thanks!

So guess what, as I didn't get a single reply, I took a punt on a UK8.5 for a pair of navy shell wholecuts. It wasn't my decision...that was the only size available online.

First off, awesome shoe...I normally go for safe round toe shoes but I love the sleek angles on this one.

The width felt fine and non invasive...however the length was a bit more than I like. My heel was moving up with every step. That was day one.

Second day, my feet started to get used to them and now it's fine. I think a lot of the slippage came from the lining being brand new.But maybe I will ask for a Carmina insole with my next order just to make them absolutely right.

But my next two orders will definitely be in UK8. Another Rain and the double monk Inca.

Meanwhile this beauty is on it's way....Cognac/Cigar Shell...in size UK8 of course. Left is 8 right is 8.5...just in case anyone thinks I have two left feet.

I realize there has been more sizing help on this thread then hyperbolic comments concerning the US election. However, I still need help purchasing a Carmina monk in the Simpson last.

    I am:
    7.5 D USA (usually)

8 D US in Allen Edmonds 5 Last

7.5 US in Allen Edmonds Dalton

7E UK in Crockett and Jones Chelsea boot (238 Last ?)

    6.5F UK in Grenson Lee

    7.5 D US in Artioli

Can you provide me with any assistance? Thanks much

Based on my experience I would advise 2 sizes to consider: a UK 6.5 if you want a snug fit (for loafers and monks etc) and a 7 if you want a comfortable non intrusive fit on lace up shoes.
Im a US9D and wear Carmina double and single monk( inca and rain lasts respectively) in UK8, while my Carmina shell wholecut I wear in UK8.5 with a Carmina supplied insole. The 8s are a bit snug but I am told they will expand a little over time....the 8.5 is very comfortable.

My length is a clear US9D but my right foot is marginally larger so sometimes my little toe feels a bit sore at the end of the day in the UK8s. But it's all quite bearable.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks. I appreciate the help. However, every time I go to the Carmina site, the prices go up. Yikes!

Reading the threads here I have always been led to believe that for Carmina you have to go one full size down from your US size for a good fit. I do not find this to be so in my case. I'm a reliable US9D...my feet are of fuller width although they certainly do not look wide...also my right foot is slightly bigger than the left and I feel the vamp area is higher than normal.

I have four pairs of Carmina and the only last in which I sized down by one full size and had no problems was the Inca.

For my other pairs on Rain and Oscar Lasts, I went down by a half size to UK8.5 and the fit is perfect....a UK8 would feel suffocating...do-able but a tad too snug.

This is Oscar in UK8.5: phenomenal shoe and a phenomenal fit.

My thoughts on Forest vs. Oscar: Oscar seems slightly wider (even imagining it as half a size smaller), and has a less tapered toe box (which might be the reason for that perception). Forest seems to have a lower instep. I don't have wide feet, and a UK 8 Forest fits me perfectly. I prefer both the fit and the style of Forest to Oscar.

    hey,

I've read this thread through but am still unaware of my size since I haven't found a common reference point. I am guessing I would be a 6UK in the Rain last.

    I wear:

6.5 UK in the Tricker's Stow
    6UK in Paul Smith
    40 in Margiela
    40 in Jil Sander

I am going to try on the Allen Edmond Park Avenue tonight, but the only references in this thread are to the Alcudia models.

p.s I also do not have wide feet, if that is any help.
