Franco from Bontoni with John and James at Wilkes Bashford San Francisco for the Bontoni trunk show yesterday. It goes on through Saturday in SF and Palo Alto.

Woops

So purple suede ankle boot. Just amazing. Simply amazing. The one he brought was shearling lined and so I am having it made without the shearling.

The wingtip is in cognac and it was something I really needed in my wardrobe so I was excited to see this new style and coloring to it.

The double monk I am having made in Navy (pictured far right).

I didnt get to take a picture of the most beautiful jodhpur boot I have ever seen but according to Franco Wilkes is buying it for fall/winter so its more affordable to purchase it at that time.

WOW - Three pairs nice job.

I took my mom as she wanted to walk around the mall and she met back with me. I got the 2 shoes and she saw the purple boots and said I need to try them. I did and I said gotta have it.

Nice! Are you doing any special soles or the standard leather ones?

Thanks for posting the pic. Now that I am back in So Cal I have not had a chance to go to a trunk show in a year and a half. It's nice to see some new models. Those wingtips are beauties.

That was the jodhpur! so beautiful! I was quite intrigued by the monk boot with the wingtip but I have monk boot so I went against it. What did you order?

went with the Luciani from my previous post in sand suede with a honey colored pebble grain throat & trim. i wanted a tan
suede with a little more character than a chukka

also went with the frankenstitch wing boot in the middle of the pic w/ less distressing than the monk below :

good eye on that wingtip, it should work well. don't be upset if i steal your idea later in the year.

Where do you guys order the MTO Bontonis with last modifications? From the website or there are some other ways? I really enjoy some styles but their RTW lasts doesn't fit me as well as let say Vass or others.
I have my foot meatherment done by Alexander Maftei for the bespoke shoes.

PS Damn iphone

give james bastian a call at wilkes bashford San Francisco store. he's a good guy to work with on your ideas.
you can also reach him by email : James Bastian <[email protected]>

Just got an email from Franco saying that they are coloring my double monks tomorrow or day after and then Francos father is doing the Norwegian stitching on my purple suede boots.

He said hopefully in 3 weeks they will ship my 2 shoes out and then my wingtips will be shipped a little after that.

CANT WAIT!!
