1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

lets vow not to get this off the first page. some holiday brews. New Glarus Moon Man - very drinkable pale ale. lots of citrus with a refreshing finish. could drink a bunch of these in a night. Pliny the Elder - another pale ale that is well balanced. again, lots of citrus notes with a smooth finish. not sure if it warrants all the hype beer nerds give this, because it is JUST beer, but it is damn good.
Both sound right up my alley. Sadly Pliny looks like it has very limited distribution. Not sure about New Glarus.
This showed up out of nowhere at my liquor store on Friday. It didn't stay there long though. [IMG] [IMG]

I think many people -- including my family -- will agree with you ... but for other reasons.

There are beers I'll drink. There are even times a cold beer is the only drink that will do ... for example at a Louisiana shrimp boil (pre BP, of course) on a hot September afternoon ... set on a picnick table at the edge of the Tangipahoa River under the shade of oak. It also works at a Texas BBQ. At these times a cold beer is all that will quench a thirst.

There was this one occasion ... at the Montana Brewing Company in Billings ... I found a beer very easy to drink ... even in the cold of winter. Of course, I can't fly to Billings every time I want a beer.

I used to dislike beer, but then again, that's because I just had average swill. Quality beers are every bit as good as wine or other spirits.

Winter is my favorite season for beer. Tons of delicious stouts, RIS, and porters (my favorite styles) released for seasonals. These have been what frequent my beer fridge lately.
    (Sorry about the different sizes)

    Session Beer: Guinness
