Who else but our local right in Houston highly rated craft microbrewers:

I don't even drink anymore ( but I certainly did at one time

).

I once contacted the owners about developing a non alcoholic St. Arnolds like an O'Douls non alcoholic beer, but much better and different.

They listened and said it sounded interesting but would entail too much additional hardware investment and that it wasn't a good fit for them. Oh well

^ let me know how the maudite is. i'm always tempted to branch out and try other offerings from that brewery.

on that note, i'm going to make myself a delicious, dry, hendrick's martini.

Its good. I don't think there is a "bad" Unibroue in the bunch. Johnny - let us know how that Victory Wild Devil is. They just started distributing here and the Prima Pils is a nice refreshing lager.

Maudite is pretty good, it's definitely one you should try

Blanche de Chambly is the "worst" one I've had from Unibroue, but it's still a lot better than most beers. They're a pretty top notch operation

Saison Dupont is probably the best known. I don't really know any others. Tried out a few beers tonight: Left Hand Milk Stout - This is way better out of the bottle than it is on tap. Smooth flavor. Victory Prima Pils - This is way worse out of the bottle than it is on tap. Jesus this was bitter. Dale's Pale Ale - I've heard such good things about this one. Really, really bitter taste. Very disappointing. Dogfish Punkin Ale - The best pumpkin beer I've had yet (admittedly small sample size). Actually tasted like beer brewed with pumpkin as opposed to Shipyard which tastes like beer that someone dumped a bottle of pumpkin pie spice in.

Stone Levitation Ale is a great session beer.

Personally, I can't get into the pumpkin beers. I've had smuttynose, saranac, and dogfish with a bottle of each sitting in my fridge from last year I havent even touched.

Trader Joe's used to carry a "vintage ale" that was made for them by Unibroue, and it was always good. Pity they don't carry it anymore.
Drake's 1500 Pale Ale is a decent session beer.
I've been waiting for the milk/cream stouts to return - for some reason they're so hard to find here

Alexander Keith's Dark Ale, which only seems to be sold in bars unfortunately. Outside of that, Guinness.

THere is a restaurant in Boston that makes a drink called Pimm's Slap: pimm's cup, pork slap, ginger ale, and lemon.

I like both the beer and this cocktail. Nice change of pace to find a good beer in a can.
