1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Mirror Mirror is awesome. I bought a bunch, but I should have bought more. More wine barrel flavor than expected, but not overly sweet. It should be good with some age too.

I like Le Freak. Have had it on tap several times. Last night was Chimay pints for me.

There is nothing trendy about Samuel Smith's beers, but I'll be damned if they aren't uniformly excellent beers for a really good price. I particularly like the stouts and the fruit ales.

Nice. I'd had le Freak a bunch on tap before, but that was all a while ago. I don't think I really paid attention to what it's supposed to be until last night when I read the bottle. Definitely enjoyable.

Trinity Brewing's Pappy Legba. Sadly, pretty gross (or at least nowhere near what I was expecting). Smells like pineapple, almost tastes like sunscreen smells.

Also, all my Mainer friends keep letting me down by not going to Allagash to get Coolship to send to me.

Man my 2nd beer trade on StyleForum and I get ripped off... Sucks...

Details later... Let's hope the fella responds to me... Else I'll be leaving him negative feedback on a closed auction someone else hasn't given FB for.

Kinda illegit but I'm out 50+ € and (more importantly) now I don't have any Bourbon County Barleywine

If nothing else, I know a bar that still has bottles for a reasonable price, so if worse comes to worst, I can pick you up one there :slayer::slayer:

Wow, that's really lame. I'm hoping he responds and it just turns out to be some kind of mix-up. If not, it'd be good to list his name here so no one else gets ripped off too.

Well first things first... He was supposed to ship me 4x BC Barleywine and one bottle of The Bruery Autumn Maple... That would weigh over 4 lbs, right?.. I told him he'd have to use Priority Airmail (weight restriction for using 1st Class Int'l Mail is 4lbs) and I warned him how much it'd cost (a lot)... He agreed... But after he confirmed having received my stuff, he said the PO didn't provide him with a tracking # as "the cheapest service isn't tracked"... Well: bullshit... Even First Class Int'l Mail is completely tracked and comes with delivery confirmation to Belgium nowadays...

Knowing I had probably been ripped off, I then offered to PAY him to re-send just the 4 bottles of BC... No dice... It's been four days and he's been online plenty of times...

Live and learn... I just got all naive and silly cause I've had such good experiences on SF for the last 6 years :embar: And THANKS to you guys offering your help, much obliged!..

Damn. Sorry to hear that Hc4. In all my years of styleforum B&S and doing beer swaps on Sufu, I've only been ripped off a handful of times. Still sucks every time.

Bottling my Bourbon Barrel Porter today! also have a Chinook IPA and Belgian Saison au Miel fermenting away. :slayer:
