I know the Beer Manager at the Binny's downtown because I am in there so often so he was willing to set aside a little for me. If you have a car, it really isnt that much more trouble to stop at West Lakeview liquors. I think the hopslam would be worth the drive. I might drive there myself tonight.

Nobody is freaking out, but it does go a lot quicker at liquor stores in the city than it does in NW Indiana, especially at Binny's. My uncle in Indy was able to buy it whenever he wanted through the end of February last year.

Yeah, my store had it in March. The irony is that I'm a 30 minute drive from downtown and yet worlds apart.

It's hit or miss directly at the Bells General Store. Suppose to be released through distribution this week.

Hopslam production was up over last year I believe. It'll be in stores through March.

We got 20 cases here in my local place so if anyone can't get it. Let me know and I'll tell you where it is.

Drinking one now. It's fine, good even. But not as good as a few years ago. And I don't remember it being $17 a 6pack.

My main store received 3 cases. 72 bottles lasted 50 minutes before it was gone.

Seems to be all gone here already. Bunny's was long gone when I stepped in, and it didn't sound like they were getting more (but that could be wrong)

    At $17 though...maybe I don't care that I can't get it.

^ they'll get more. Well maybe not but I'd be shocked if not.

$17 isn't all that bad. It's up $1-2 from last year.

I just paid $74 for 12 bottles of Black Note.

What'd you think of this? I was let down by the Adelbert's that I had. Can't remember which variety it was. Have you ever had any of Jester King's brews?

My girlfriend was at a chicago Whole Foods and they had some hopslam so she bought me some.

She said there were like 3 packs left. Some guy took one as soon as she moved out of the way of the shelf and the other one was gone when she walked by later.

It was spicier than I'm used to in a Belgian style, but after about 30 minutes or so it had mellowed considerably and was quite good. As I finished the glass, I decided that I'd buy it again.

Jester King, I've not tried. If that's the brewery I'm thinking of...their bottles kind of creep me out.
