So I have my Tokyo shopping cut out for me later in the week, but I’ll be in Kyoto for the next two days.

Any recs? Clothing or otherwise? Staying with a friend who knows the city well but he’s not into the stuff in this here thread. Thanks!

Not really. Shinier, thicker and more rigid (in a good way). I wish they had one remotely practical that I could justify. But I’m on the Shinkansen to Tokyo and I’m sure I will succumb to something.

Nice, and I know the feeling. Though what I actually could use is a leather backpack.

If you are not in a hurry, a nice project for me in the next few months would be to make a special one for you.

It's getting warmer so the hunt isn't as urgent anymore but still looking for what amounts to tall combat boots that fit this "artisanal" niche. No zippers. Basically imagine some HH Brown/Corcoran/WWII Impressions jump boots, but in Guidi leather or some other high quality leather.
