well of course the MA+s are better, just no argument about that...

those vaz boots look alright to me as well. but who is this vaz rajan fellow?
don't think i've ever heard of him before, but he's copying the whole aesthetic without actually being a part of it. meh.

Yo sons, read:

VAZ RAJAN IS AN INDIAN BORN AUSTRALIAN CURRENTLY BASED IN PARIS. GROWING UP TRAVELLING BETWEEN THE MIDDLE EAST, ASIA AND AUSTRALIA WITH HIS FAMILY AND AS A RESULT, HAVING TO CONSTANTLY ADAPT TO DISPARATE CULTURES WOULD GREATLY INFLUENCE HIS OUTLOOK TOWARDS LIFE. AFTER TRAINING UNDER A MASTER SHOEMAKER AND TAILOR, HE DECIDED TO START HIS OWN PROJECT IN DECEMBER 2008.
BORROWING FROM HIS LIFE OF TRAVELS AND COMBINING IT WITH HIS DEEP-ROOTED INFLUENCES IN ART, CULTURE, HISTORY, MUSIC AND MYSTICISM, VAZ FILTERS HIS REFERENCES INTO A RIGOROUSLY MINIMAL WARDROBE WITH AN EMPHASIS ON CRAFTSMANSHIP, VERSATILITY AND PERMANENCE. PROJECT SUBSTRATA CHOOSES TO FOCUS DEEPER INTO FINDING NEW POSSIBILITIES BY SUBVERTING TRADITIONAL HAND CRAFTING TECHNIQUES USED IN THE MANY STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT IN EACH RESPECTIVE CRAFT.
VAZ RAJAN OFFICIALLY FORMED HIS COMPANY AND PRESENTED THE FIRST CAPSULE OF HANDMADE SHOES IN PARIS IN JUNE 2010.

BTW Mr. Sinned, we need better photos of those great looking boots. Too much nuance in the color and texture to be left for dead on your dark couch and no natural lighting. :D

because they're good?

to be frank, i cannot possibly judge the quality of his boots without actually handling them - they look alright

what im saying is that his boots and jackets look almost identical in design to the more established brands.

How much difference can there possibly be? Just about everything has been done, and new and radical designs are often mocked, and rightfully so because they look ridiculous. CDiem/Augusta/Marsell/etc. etc., for the most part, make classic boots, in classic shapes and proportions, with new age distressing/technique/shaping. The construction on the well made boots is centuries old, and let me tell you - these guys are charging up the ass for it.

moo will do in a few hours

because im pretty sure there was nobody called vaz rajan in cdiem...

There doesnt need to be a Vaz at Cdiem for the boot to be good! I actually was surprised with the quality. I handled augusta and ma+ and it seems to be up to par... those were 1200 new btw
