if you aren't set on guidi 100% , @el Bert may be willing to hook you up with an amazing pair of Layer-0 bone colored derbies in right size that I'd snap up in a hot minute if i had any cash ...

i am not certain but i think that H means hand-dyed and T means tumble-dyed in a machine. if there is no H or T, just assume that it is a T. the hand-dyed ones tend to have undyed lining and uniquely dyed outer leather

Those incarnation boots look really flat and weird-fitting in real life, like they copied Guidi style but couldn't get it right..

Looks like a sock or some kind of flat fish:

you guys really just threw a wrench into my whole decision making process. I think I like the guidi's more but it is hard to turn down higher quality shoes for less than the guidi's will cost.

    Guidi

    Pros:
    Softer leather (kangaroo)
    Lighter
    White sole edge
    Less rigid construction
Lower heel(?) can someone confirm this?

    Cons:
    (slightly) lower quality
    perhaps less striking?
    Won't get here until July

    Layer-0

    Pros:
    Higher quality
    Smoother leather (cordovan)
    Less generic
    Cheaper (by around $50)
    Available immediately

    Cons:
    Looks more yellowish to me
Extra long laces that wrap around (obviously not a huge deal)
    Potential Stiffness
    Natural edge sole

Here is a picture for reference

^^ go with the aesthetic you like buddy. These shoes are different in design. For comfort both will be good. Guids more summery, unstructured, softer vibe less aggresive. Roo also better for no socks wear - can easily do shorts with them. Or just get layer-0 now check them out if not like resell them and get guids. :)

You are right, I'm going to get the guidi's.

If the layer-0 were full price I wouldn't even be considering them, it's just the feeling of passing up a good deal to pay full price for something else that is getting to me.

Dude, pick what you like. Don't mind the quality - it's good no matter what. I had both Carpe and Guidi derbies in the past. Sold both but now have a pair of 992s coming my way from Hide-m. They sure are the more comfortable choice.
