1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

So many confirmation exclamations in this thread. So little evidence. Even if they are made in the same place, it doesn't mean they're all made to the same standard or of the same materials.

I was eyeballying these for a good fortnight waiting till I had some cash. Then you went and bought them the day before me. Curse you.

When the last boots are vibramed, the last jeans sickly faded, and the last grail acquired, you will realize that you cannot eat jawnz.

As far as i can tell, nothing (in terms of shape and style), except for the fact that originally mine were a very dry horse leather with a matt texture and blueish/black colour. (See a couple of posts back)
But as discussed I oiled them myself and polished them black.
Now imo they are perfection, and the leather is ageing beautifully.

Re toe shape. The oiled horse have a slightly less crimped toe, but the difference is negligible.
I have the new RENNA Derby with the new toe shape and it really isn't that different.
It's not necessarily more rounded in terms shape looking down at the toe, just slightly more from a profile perspective.

Australian dude posted them for 650 unworn/vibrammed on SZ + another 50 or so shipping from Australia. I guess he had hoarded a few pairs from the Library back in the day.

That's good to know. I'm assuming the lifted toe also flattens out with wear?

Did you size down 1 with your SS14 pair? That's what I've been advised for current 2014 ST8 and ST3 models.

Also, if anyone can clarify regarding the leathers. eton's SS14 model was described as 100% Cordovan. I understand that. However, Vertice describes the Oiled Horse as "Deep Black Cordovan." The title for the boots state "Black Culatta Oil." I don't have a huge understanding of leathers, but Horween (et al) uses "Culatta" to describe the portion of leather on Bovine/Cowhide. I get that Oiled Horse is not entirely Cordovan, but is the Culatta description just an interchanging of terms?

CUBS PTC 19. Pants are LUC breadbag jeans. They're perfect for winter very warm and partially lined.
