1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I don't have any personal experience, but a few people at SZ (Faust included) have said good things about them. I noticed the new season price has risen a little so it may just be one of those things where the brand eventually gets more recognition and prices skyrocket in a year or so.

I don't like them; I'm assuming you are referring to the massive lug sole.

I know I'm not a skinny Japanese dude but I really like the silhouette of these.

And I apologize in advance for breeching the $700 rule. Just trying to compare my options.

Have you checked out Alden 2 and 5 eyelet chukkas? They're a similar shape, and cordovan can look incredibly beaten up

Guidi 017 (similar to 994) also looks sort of like a chukka.

    ^^Thanks, guys.

The Aldens are nice but might be a bit dressier than I'm looking for.

I do like the 994s. If I could find a used pair in 43 we may be in business.

And, of course, the A1923 ankle boots are excellent. But these don't have to be primo, I guess. Just some everyday beaters.

I'm just down with the Motos as they're right around my price range right now and from what I've seen that leather ages quite well.

Edit: and kind of a priority is fewer eyelets. At least less than ten. ;)

Alden has various lasts, barrie being a more casual one and if you get them in black shell/calf they won't look to dressy

If you need them right away Lazarri has a pair of 994 in Kangaroo, black tanned, if you can wait hit up H.

There is also a pair of Cdiem S24M (4 hole) in size 42 floating around SuFu too.

Just saw those, Eck. Very nice.

I may wait. Just got a little wrapped up in shopping. Gonna sleep on it. Thanks for all the suggestions.

And suspension point has some, too.
