    The loops on the back of my cdiems (where you pull to get the boot on and also where you loop the laces into) are ripping off.

    Anyone experience this? Wouldn't mind attempting to fix it myself, or I could bring it into a cobbler I guess.

    Are those cordovan? Did you get them from theoffice or pnp or...?

    Yes cordovan (LINED SBUC-PTC) and yes from the office. YW for the photos, i have a new camera and felt i should share, i'd love to get an a1923 double zip to show a side by side :D

    Not a fan of the stacked heel or bulbous toe box on some of the baller boots (Guidi, etc.). Rick and Ann D make some sleeker models, are they worth the price tag, say compared to just buying CP and MMM boots?

    I'll be honest i cannot recall handling RO boots, i may have in passing.

    MMM quality is poor at their price points, feels like a glue job.
    CP boots look good and a decent price but i'd opt for Buttero.
    these ann d boots were built like tanks, others idk, hopefully more sf members can weigh in

    Not too impressed with the MMM sidezips I've handled, but for less than 300, not terrible. I prefer the sneakers. I do like Buttero, but most models have the stacked heel. The Ann Ds from Yoox were nice, but somebody kopped them, and I'm not sure I would have shelled out 700 for them...

    i have those anns in your post, afixedpoint. wear them a bunch throughout the canadian winters and they've been good to me :)
