I know this will come as a shock but factories build to varying levels of construction. You heard it first folks. For some reason I can't remember I recently had a discussion on IS production and the factory was mentioned, can't remember which one it is but yeah, other "similar" brands produce there. The designer knows her boots are priced very high but, TBH production costs are also huge. I think many in this industry will eventually switch to different factories that will produce the same boots for a lower cost, prices are ridiculous. Problem is adjustment period, it takes a while to have people in a factory truly understand what you want, so you sell nice samples to stores than your production doesn't match said samples and you are fucked.

CCP look like that when new. The pair I have had for like 6 yrs hasn't changed at all. CCP shoes made of thinner leather are a different animal but with the stiff ones what you see is what you get.

BTW I recently saw a pair of goodyear welted RO combats made to excellent standards. I'm not sure it will ever get to production as clients don't give a fuck but fashion brands can definitely get it right.

Yours must be having another syndrome, sinnedk! You're sure their picture's not hanging somewhere in your crib?

As far as quality and comfort my Julius engineer boots with vibram sole are the real deal. Some of the nicest footwear I have ever seen...
